Orders

Postby Wanda June Hill on Tue Oct 10, 2006 3:44 pm

Great Britian, New Zeland, Japan, Florida,N. Hampshire,
Arkansas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisana are all states that orders have come from, some only one or two and others 5 or more... I told them I don't want to know any more-don't tell me, Sean! It makes me nervous and I don't need that ... He said today the books are being printed and he was going over to pick up the ones I preordered and get them ready to send out to me. So.... time is ticking. wjh

It's great, Wanda!

(And do not get nervous. You know your book will go wherever it may be needed. The timing will be perfect.)

Hi Julie, I know I have trouble waiting-and I wrote the darn thing! I sent my one copy to Maia so don't even have one for me now either. They should be here soon-they were printing them two days ago and even yesterday so there are orders coming in...more than one from Great Britian so you're not alone there! It is kind of scary-I don't want to know the count on them-not yet. I hope to sell enough to turn around and get them printed in Spanish and whatever is the current most popular requested language and Amazon ought to know that one. It would be great to be able to send some to Japan in their own language also...lots of fans there including the ruler guy who came to Graceland with Bush... He didn't speak much English but he knew the words to Elvis' songs! Lots of people do who can't speak English-it's really neat. Thank you Julie, for ordering one-probably get it before I do!!! I can't understand their thinking-but guess there is a reason. wjh

You can get a money order for US curency at your post office or bank-that is the best way to go and it is traceable if gets lost somewhere in the post system. That is what people did when buying from other countries in 1979-80 and it still is done. That's all I know to say as I have no clue how things are in other countries having never been out of the US except for a trip to Mexico years ago. wjh

3/4's of a way through the interviews (also want to read slow so as to be able to absorb and appreciate every word!), all great that went before but the interviews is truly something amazing and so very special, bringing Elvis' every word about so many different subjects.

Like reacquainting myself with a good friend that I first learned to get to know here in ELC, once again thanks to Wanda and Maia! :D :D

Best wishes, all!

Yes, he was amazing during the whole time, months that extended through a year nearly, mostly 76. I wanted to get it across that I didn't ask him to do it-he asked me and it was HIS friend he did it for, not me. I was so amazed and surprised several times how honest and open he became, at first kind of nervous and scared even, as he was shy and hesitant to reveal himself, the inner guy publicly or to anyone he didn't know and he knew 70 some odd young people would hear what he had to say-and he was so honest-I believe he truly wanted to be understood. I had lots of help coming up with the questions, some he did reject or changed around a bit before answering them. He was very smart, intelligent and knew what he wanted to get across. But some things I would never believed he'd answer though I asked anyway as people thought I should, and darned if he didn't answer them, sometimes far more than I asked too. I love to read it myself, it's like talking to him and he's just right there, in my mind and I can hear him again. You know, one of the things that worries me is that if I had a stroke or something, he might be gone out of my head-just zap and gone... but I guess if I couldn't remember, it wouldn't matter then...it just bothers me now. Silly huh? Oh well, life is stranger than fiction! Thanks again, bye. Wjh

I have almost finished the book.

What can I say? I'm so amazed by it! I have Elvis in my heart, under my skin, I touch him, I smell him, I cry his tears, I laugh with him, within him. He is a whole presence.

But I see him too through your eyes, Wanda. I see him through the eyes of these beautiful people that loved him so much and felt him an unique and fundamental part of their lives.

All this and so much more, comes through your book. One can really "touch" Elvis' spirit. It is brought so near that I can't tell him apart from me. Your book helps me to feel him like a breathable atmosphere, all that Love he transpired in every little bit of his feeling, of his saying, of his thinking, of his acting...

Have I told you lately
THANK YOU, WANDA? Thank you too, to all these private persons that dared to disclose their inner feelings to honor their friend in such a loving and wonderful way.
