Elvis and the night sky

Postby Rainbow Light on Tue Nov 07, 2006 9:47 am

What Elvis said about going out to look up in the heavens to see all the beauty often the beauty of the earth, heavens, great big ocean, sunsets and glory of the gift of life is passed by or just can be taken for granted in the rush to get to places or do things but he's so very right and brings that very depth of understanding back to life - thanks Elvis and Wanda! :D

Blessed is he, who can have everything money can buy, and still has not lost the appreciation for pure nature and the glories of God......Elvis!

HOW HUMBLE ELVIS WAS AND DOWN TO EARTH, I READ IN WANDA'S BOOK THAT IS ONE OF THE THINGS ELVIS LOOKED FOR IN PEOPLE. I LOVE KNOWING ALL OF MY LIFE HOW ELVIS TRULY WAS, AND STILL IS. FAIRYTALE!

He sure was a very special man.... One of the things I love so much about him is that he never took anything for granted.

I thought I would bring this back up, it reminded me when Elvis gave that First interview after coming Home from the Army. When the guy asked him why he had so many cars, and Elvis said because if I go broke I can always sale one. Like in Wanda's Dream Elvis took her to see the Shackes before getting to GraceLand, I think that is one Fear that Elvis never Lost is being Afraid of being POOR again. I know I have seen times of going without, but never has bad as Elvis had it growing up. Thats why I Love Elvis so very Much,he never forgot where he came from. Most people that had been as Poor as Elvis would be the most selfish person on Earth, But not ELvis. Instead he Shared with people, and what ever he had they had to. So Elvis You are THE LIGHT OF MY HEART, and LIFE! FairyTale!

So very right and I feel this is where his spirit of humility shone like a star through all of his life and beyond like the most burning bright star!

Hey hope no-one thinks I'm being big-headed by bringing this topic back round to the front for any newer members to read who may not have seen this, I have thought about actually daring to bring it to everyone's attention again! (  ) but if I'm honest I just kinda liked this because I love the whole idea of Elvis checking out the night sky and impressing on others how much he loved this and not taking the gift of life, nature and God's creation for granted in the hurry to get things done that life just seems to pass many by you know?

Do hope no-one minds me bringing life to this thread once more?! :?:

Sue, I'm glad you brought this back up because if reminds me of something I read in "Elvis in the Twilight of Memory" (page 129) by June Juanico. Here is the excerpt, with Elvis speaking, which came to mind:

"Seriously, baby, keep your eyes on the moon, and you'll see a glowing blue ring appear."
After staring at the moon for about two minutes, I could see the bright blue ring. It seemed to pulse with the beat of my heart. I was fascinated, unable to speak.
"Do you see it? Now, let yourself totally relax, and just focus on the space between the moon and the stars. Don't think about anything! Just let yourself float. If you can relax enough, you can go right up there with them."

He goes on to tell June that he has been doing this since he was a little boy.
Laurie

It behooves one to sense God as dwelling within each of us, rather than as some distant entity, far above and seemingly beyond our reach.

Sounds like he never changed...just became more adept at these type things with studies and searching for the connection that he was born with. And the blue light that shone on his birthplace and into the house upon the bed where he was born... And at the moment of his birth, the little collection of bottles on the shelf that suddenly fell, broke upon the floor. The power of God breathing the breath of life into the tiny, premature baby boy-one of His special ones, perhaps?

This could so very well be, Wanda! :D :P

Also, Laurie, thank you for quoting from June Juanico's book, found this very interesting too and certainly adds another dimension to the posts/thread altogether!

Most DEFINITELY one of God's special ones Wanda!! :D My thanks to you also Laurie for posting that part of June's book. It was very interesting to read and like Sue-Lenora said, it added another dimension to the thread with yet another amazing insight into Elvis's special soul. :D
