Slow but surely it's getting done- though the pages keep growing in number! I don't want to miss anything or leave out something and regret it later. Crazy fer sure, and I'm not rushing anymore. Please be patient and hopefully, it will be worth the wait.

Totally appreciated on all counts, Wanda! :D :D

a friend and I...............

Postby 73smile on Thu May 22, 2008 9:08 pm

Julie: a dear and sweet friend and I have 2 words that we use when one of us is caught self judging how we look or other things and then we laugh or we cry or we agree that it is stupid for us to focus energy on negative things. We 'bet' quarters on things that are never really monetary bets but that is the price we think it is worth calling oneself ugly or not pretty enough for Elvis or another person.
I am what I am. I have wrinkles that I have earned through life and I am shorter due to bone loss as we women age than I was ten years ago or twenty years ago. My hair is brown and straight with red tints and my eyes are brown, my hair is short and the freckles I had as a child and as a younger woman are still with me but just lighter in color. I am an ordinary person and one of my favorite brothers stuck me with the nickname bullhead when I was very small and we refer to each other as Bullhead Sr. and Bullhead Jr. Lots of parts about us all factor in when we look at our physical selves.
We are all different and beauty, precious and genuine beauty, comes from the inside out and that is what is important.
It is through what we can and what we do to help ourselves and those we love to "see" that we are beautiful because our spirits are what guide us in this life.
Throw your mirrors away and remember you are beautiful inside out and that is for sure!
Always with love,

Great wisdom! I too have wrinkles I've earned, nearly white hair, eyes that don't see like they used to, droopy eyelids that my doctor says I should get lifted before much longer-yeah right! And I fight 10 lbs of fluctuating weight all the time- that's 10 lbs over the already size 16 W I fit into if it's got some give so I can bend and sit! I have dreams of getting back into a 14 W but that's questionable since I can't exercise like I used to due to old Rh messing with my "git along". But everyone can do their best... a little Bare Minerals makeup, some lipstick and when I "press my hair with medium sized curlers" it doesn't frizz up and it all helps. Trouble is, I hate having to do all that soooo.... the horses don't care though so what the heck! Like today, man it was so cold here! It was 104 two days ago and today it's in the 50's and it even rained, thrundered (we seldom get that in California) and lightening was every where! Golf sized balls of hail fell in some areas but thankfully not here!
It's so cold tonight I drug out my wool blanket again! Just washed the fleece pullovers we wear in winter and put them up-also my fleece pajamas...but guess what I got on tonight! It's weird weather every where-windy, cold, wet and crazy for this time of year. Scary.
You are so right about it's what's living inside us that counts the most- we can do anything we want with that part of ourselves.... anything we want. wjh

About appariences:

I believe our physic body to be our vehicle to take us through this present lifetime. What kind of vehicle we have, I believe depends on what we come to accomplish and our function in the context of Life, referred to it.

I believe we have had many lives, each one needing a proper physical especial apparience. Probably we have been through the experience of having different genres and different kind of physic, if we were to experiment and to be a manifestation of the inmense plurality of Life.

If one has to experiment and then express Patience -for instance- one may have a crippled body, that stops us from being able to move around freely. The possibilities are infinite...

My dear friends, our souls are beautiful and shining, and nothing can shadow it! :P :P

Amanda you are right. We are individuals who have lived before.
Early in the night I dreamed of Elvis. The dream took place in a small area in England. I do not know why we were both in England but we were. We talked about what love means and he told me that love is as simple as the belief a person has that the One above does exist and the part of love that is most important is how we spend our time in this life or in another. It has nothing to do, he said, with becoming famous or being a stunning movie star. He said it took time for him to figure that all out and then a whistle sound was made and with the smile that only Elvis had flashed and he was gone and I was awake.
I believe the whistle sound was the signal for Elvis to leave but I wish he had been able to tell me more.
I trust that he will appear when it is time and patience is something that is hard on all of us as humans. I will wait. The time I have with any individual is quality time and that is important to me.
always with love,

Many thanks, Marjorie for sharing your dream with us of Elvis which is very interesting and I totally agree:

You mentioned a whistle sound- in the classes my sis in law and I took the lady teaching the spiritual and metaphysical things, said that often when a spirit is with you, conversing or come and going, one will hear this high whistle...sometimes you won't see them but might just hear them speak to you and the sound will come - often it is heard when one leaves especially those of high spiritual growth as they are stronger and can be felt, seen and heard by those they wish to communicate with. So you were right on- it was him and he was leaving- his "train' was there...
She said it was their viberation, their spirit preparing to exit the physical world...that it was like a "zipper door opening" and they go through it to the other realm. Makes sense to me. wjh Sometimes there will be a "clicking sound" as well...I hear that often...I am not as developed spiritually and so when I am going to "receive" something- I hear clicking first. I have felt things, seen things, and heard voices and have a pair of voices that tell me things I want to know or need to know- like if I forget what I want to say or ask a question, and very often this voice will race through my head very fast and I have to really listen to catch it- though it's clear...it's fast. I get information that way...now it doesn't bother me at all but when first it came, I was alarmed and nor sure I wanted to have that- but now it's very useful. my memory is getting bad and sometimes it will tell me what I need to know at the moment- so far so good. I know some would say i'm nuts...but I'm not the only one- many other people have the same "gift" or "friend" what ever, and they don't feel weird about it either. I wish it would give me more information I could use and not just helpful little things. oh well, I've had so much...iI can not complain. wjh

I missed your post about your dream with Elvis, Marjorie. This dream and what Wanda wrote above -and I didn't know- about the wistle and the clicking, but very especially about the fast speaking little voice that reminds her of things, only confirms what I already firmly believe:

WE ALWAYS HAVE WHAT WE NEED (which is different from what we wish). And these are great news! :P

Right, I believe that too. Now, I don't have voices telling me "to do things" that would bother me for sure! When I read about awful things some one has done and they say "voices told them to do it"- it's a scary thing!!! Elvis said he believed demons were on earth, and read scriptures that related to that- and said if people were "open" spiritually and naive and didn't have any knowledge of how to be "safe" or they drank or did harmful drugs etc: like so many were experimenting with in the 60's they could be "possessed" by these evil ones and that many people who were "insane" were the possessed and that they were kept on drugs in hospitals etc: and didn't have anyone who understood what was going on with them mentally. I kind of think he could be right about some cases...but not all.

When my departed from the physical horses have "come" back to visit or whatever they want to do at the time- I first hear their hoof steps, then I feel them and sometimes smell them-they all smell different just like humans and other animals- and I will hear their movements, and then they sometimes have been "visable" right beside me-I see them and have seen them in the field with the other horses who are still here- I think the other's see and communicate with them at these times too.
From their actions and reactions. Such as when we had to put our oldest mare down and she had been gone a few days, I put our younger mare in the oldest one's corral- she didn't want to be there, she cowered in the corner, she weaved and fretted and acted weird when fed- suddenly after seeing her anxiousness, stopped and was watching her, thinking what is the matter with Promia- she turned quickly, stared into my eyes with her head up and a most pleading expression on her pretty horse face- and I suddenly knew- Maxi was still there- in the corral-Promia was afraid of her- Maxi was the "leader" she didn't share well ever either. So I moved Promia back to her corral and she settled right down. It was months before I put any other horse in Maxi's corral- I talked to her, said hello and good night as if she was still there- and then I told her she could go with Mexico, our other horse who had died two years earlier- and she could go with Dejavu the pinto mare we had to put down (she was in her mid 20's and a resuce whe'd had for 8 years) and that she would be with Bourbon, my boy whom we had to put down just a few days before Maxi (that was a bad summer) and that we would see her and all of them soon.
Well, she went- once in a while she comes by, but she doesn't make anyone nervous anymore and Promia likes to go into that pen to be next to our gelding Tor whom she's known since his birth. So there are weird things, but only feel strange if you don't understand or want to know such things- I think it's perfectly normal to have such experiences with animals and with people who have departed the physical bodies and gone onto the freedome of the spiritual. But then, I have been called "certifiable" by some... and nuts by others.... so to each their own. Personally, I try to enjoy these experiences...and feel they are blessings. wjh

I for got to say that my horses "talk" to me at times. I "hear" them in my head- they have weird sounding "horse voices" but it is transalated into English for me- how I don't know, it just is though I can also "hear" their strange sounding "voices" or "speech"...I think it is probably mental "talking" as they do with each other- as well as body language which they also use- and humans who work with them a lot "talk" back the same way, sometimes not even knowing it. Horses are smarter than we are- they learn our languages and signals etc: and they have to "show " us with sign language with their actions etc: and reactions. All animals seem to be able to understand us better than we do them...wonder why that is? We are supposed to be the "higher learned and advanced of the animals" but are we? Sometimes I wonder.
Anyway now you all know I could be "nuts"....and don't plan on changing it any either! Kind of like Elvis said when talking about the strange and unusual happenings etc:.... "The weird talkin' to the strange..." wjh

"The weird talkin' to the strange..." wjh

I loved that sentence the first time I read it, some time ago. 8) I find it very smart. I even have used it a couple of times (always signalling the source, of course  ).

Well, I declare myself another weird-strange. And I firmly believe that one gets a lot of freedom TO BE, when declared by others mad-crazy-nuts-extravagant, etc.

I love to read of your experiences with your horses, Wanda. The "veil" between you and them is very thin and you are open for it, because of your love for them. And we know LOVE has no barriers! :) :P
