You are very welcome for the link Sue my dear friend!!   Glad it was ok to put here.   It really is a very beautiful, touching and emotional song and makes me cry buckets whenever I listen to it. The words are so very beautiful and fitting for our dear Elvis. Even though the lyrics of the song are "I hope God knows if He let you, I'd never send you back" my heart, as much as it would break in doing so, would have to send him back for I know in my soul that it is in Heaven with the One above and his family that he has finally found true happiness and peace. I hope it's ok to say that. |

It is more than perfectly ok to say that hon!: I feel exactly the same way; yes we would love the chance to be able to see and talk to Elvis, to thank him personally for all he gave/is still giving to us, all the friendships we've made within ELC and outside all over the world and for being him! At the end of the day, much as it would break my heart too, we can't hold onto him on this Earth, in this world. He deserves to be with his family and know happiness, peace and rest then one day we all meet up with him again and, as mentioned elsewhere on the forum, it will be happy and joyful day when we all meet over on the other side!

We can hold him, as he sang about, in 'our hearts' without having to send him back. We can feel the hurt, the love, the joy, the stumbles but all of us are on the path because we are constantly replenished with the water of life from the One above as He decides when our walk is through.
It would be so very difficult to send Elvis back but my heart could not feel love right, I do not think, if I were responsible for keeping Elvis away from the freedom of the circle of love he enjoys now as we all will, too, if we just believe enough..............
