WAS ELVIS MURDERED

Postby ALNA on Wed Apr 04, 2007 10:10 am

Donna Presley Book " Precious Memories "

Vernon: " It just kills me that my baby's lying out there in that cold ground and the SOBs
that did it are walking around "
Donna: " What do you mean ? "
Vernon looked at Donna and said " The people who killed Elvis " Since the idea that Elvis might have died anything other than a natural death had never occured to Donna, she was caught off-quard. " I said, ' What are you talking about, Uncle Vernon ? ' And he said, ' Elvis was murdered.' I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I thought he meant that there was just so much responsibilty on Elvis and that's what ended up killing him. I said,' Exactly what do you mean he was murdered?' He looked right at me and said, ' Exactly what I said. Somebody murdered him.'"
Donna suddenly realized her heart was racing as she tried to figure out how best to help Vernon. " I said, ' Uncle Vernon, do you have proof ?' He said, ' Yes, I do. I've got proof.' "

WHAT ARE ALL OF YOUR TOUGHTS AND INSIGHTS here.

It makes me very sad. What really really happened.

Could it be he meant the Stanley Boys????????????????

I think it is not true Alna...
I haven't heard much good about Donna Presley.

Also I think that if Vernon suspected such thing he would have gone to the bottom of it don't you think? I think every parent would.

There were people around him which he would be better off without, but I don't think Elvis was murdered.

PS. On that same page you can read stories about Elvis, I copied 3 of them to this forum in Humorous.
Some are quite funny, they might cheer you up. :D

Donna & her husband have been scamming fans out of all kinds of money, into the many thousands of dollars. You should read some of the stories of what they did to these precious trusting fans. It really is quite sad. How can we know for sure she did not write the above to help sell her book? Even if Vernon did make those comments, we could never be certain, as Donna can no longer be trusted.

I share your opinion, Blue Moon!
And listening to my heart (and to all his friends and souls we can trust) I say Elvis was NOT murdered :!:

I don't know much about Donna Presley other than what people have written and said-but it is true that Vernon first thought that Elvis had been murdered-because he couldn't accept the facts of him "just dying" like that etc;. Elvis didn't tell his father anything like bad news-he protected him and his family from such things as much as he could...I do not believe he would have told his dad of his health problems or allowed anyone else to tell him as Vernon had heart problems himself...therefore knowing how protective Elvis could be-Vernon would have been "caught off guard" and thought the worst. However, he was close to the truth-it was a kind of murder I'd say, but I do not think Elvis was purposely killed - and if anyone messed with his medications etc: it wasn't to harm him in any way. It could be that the only way Vernon could deal with the whole thing was to think someone killed him. He was only just beginning to understand the huge business Elvis had become and that it was out of Elvis' hands to change much about it -kind of like those movie contracts-he had to complete the obligations etc:...RCA also hammered at him about recording more etc: and we know how Elvis felt about it and how he "settled" that problem himself by being "uncooperative" etc:... and it worked some of his better stuff was recorded at Graceland in those sessions.
It's too bad that Donna Presley has become known for ripping off fans...etc:... Like Elvis said, "Money can change people, cause them to do things they wouldn't do before-especially if it's big money." And he sure got that right!

Yes I would go with Wanda's perspective also! I also had read Donna's book long before I heard anything about Donna and her husband, what had happened with the fans etc but in fact, at the time I had actually enjoyed most of the book.

However, I felt then as now that it was totally unnecessary to add this chapter into the book at all, it didn't add anything to it and certainly it cannot be proved for definite one way or the other in all honesty!

I seen this and I had to make a comment, I have sometimes wondered if the Autopsy didn't find something that didn't belong. I mean I have never heard of anyone keeping a Autopsy Closed as Long as Vernon did on Elvis's. I 'm mean it is to me Strange, usually its in a Year or Two when an Autopsy is released right ? FairyTale, a judge set the time frame for sealing the autopsy records probably to protect the family from what would have happened-the film would have been stolen, sold or whatever and spread all over the world-plus his little girl would have been the one dealing with it all from her young age-it was bad enough for her and his father and family as it was-the supositions and tales etc:. I think it was done to stop the horrible exploitation that would have occured. I mean they sold T shirts with the coffin photo on them!
In 20 years or so it will be released-and hopefully by then people will not be so greedy-but I can imagine what might happen even then-I don't want to be here for that!
Anyway, it was done for the best interest of all and that's good enough reason for it. It actually was an act of kindness by that judge.

Thank you for your clarification on this subject, Wanda! Your information and insight is, as always, much appreciated! I have to say, while I had read Donna Presley's book a few years ago, I didn't care for that one chapter one bit and didn't actually think it necessary to put this in her book but she obviously had and unfortunately, information that has come to light about her regarding the fans has not exactly endeared me to Donna as one of his family members!

Yes, thank you, Wanda. I do hope when the autopsy results are revealed it will help people understand that Elvis didn't do street drugs....people still have that misconception.

Yes, you're right, Trish: some people still have that misconception about Elvis. Not helped, I think, by what many of those around him have said and written over the years since Elvis' passing. :(

Please let me add my thank to you also dear Wanda for your insightful input and also say AMEN to what you said as well sweet Trish! :D :D Hopefully whenever the autopsy results are revealed misconceptions about our dear Elvis can finally be put to rest once and for all, and alot more people will truly understand all that he had to endure for the sake of making so many others happy. I also agree with what you said Sue my dear friend in that over the years since Elvis' passing what has been written by many of those who were "always around him" has not helped that aspect at all. :( :(
