Hi, I am doing okay; working on E. f to f every day between weeding the field so when it dries some we can put the horses out safely. And I am up late writing. I keep finding things that I wanted to put in, adding and editing etc: and am up to the tributes and letters section which takes a little time as I want it to be right and get everything in that counts alot.
This one to me is better than the other because of the variety and also, I am telling things I wanted to say but was too timid or something at the time-I guess it wasn't being timid, it was still that sense of not wanting to betray confidences and too, I had that door to the past open and it wasn't easy to look back on some things I had locked up -I guess to "save" myself maybe? Anyway, I will be happy to say it's done but it still has a way to go-hopefully will be ready to go to the publishers by summer at least. My daughter keeps saying, " Don't rush-there's time and you want this one to be the best ever written, right?" Well, I wouldn't put it that way, but I want it to be high on the list! Mainly, I don't want to leave anything out because this is the last one like this for me.

It's a beautiful day, clear as a bell and snow on the mountains with green velvet (weeds) covering everything. If it dries out later on, boy what a fire season we might have this year and next...It's been about 3 years since there was this kind of green around here. We have so many birds coming through now, some aren't even pictured in my bird book for N. America. Word must get out because they stop here for a day or two and then move on to whereever they are going. And quail, must have been over a hundred last night and yesterday evening. They were stuffing their little craws like crazy before finding places to sleep in the ground shurbs left from the big freeze and the pepper trees. What a chortling and whispering going on-it was great! Then last night the dogs all over the area were howling and carrying on as if there were a pack of wolves somewhere! Our two were sound asleep-they didn't say a word! I think it was a pack of cayotes with pups hunting and they are noisy so the dogs in the neighborhood just went off because they were. Lots of rabbits for them available-poor little skinny things, the coyotes...they are so thin especially in the last couple of years. Game was scarace. We have so much growing now, there will be lots of rabbits and snakes too, this year.
At least they won't be coming here for food-maybe-the rattlers, I mean.

It was 44 degrees, but to day will be in the 70's. Sooon warm enough to give Foxx a bath-he's really dirty and looks like a "cremelo" instead of a white- I call him "El blanco nigra zorro "and he thinks I'm flattering him-when really I'm saying he's a white dirty foxx" At least I THINK that's what I'm saying! My Spanish is not much and I try to recall what his trainer would say but questionable since its been a-while since he's been around. He moved to Texas and trains Andies as they are all the rage right now. Bye, wjh

Its Good to hear from you Wanda, I know that We Remember was tough to write. But I bet " Face To Face" is even Tougher, I'm in aggreement with Amanda I can't wait! I know the sound of Coyotes, where I lived in Missouri we had a lot of Coyotes there for a while I remember there was a bad outbreak of Mange amongest the Coyotes. I use to Love to hear them Howl, Here in Virginia there are getting more and more Coyotes. I'm so glad to hear your weather is warming up. Here in Virginia we have had a real unusal winter, one its warm then the next day its back to winter, so Dear Wanda Please don't over do and Take Care! FairyTale!

It sounds like it's going to be FANTASTIC and I want to thank you in advance for all of the hard work, effort, and most of all......LOVE that you are putting into it!! Very Happy

I know it's going to be great, but I go along with what has already been said in hoping that you will please take care of yourself my sweet friend and try not to over-do. Smile

I know I owe you an e-mail and there are others here that I need to pm too, but it's been so chaotic here lately with things going on with my little girl, the situation with my friend and my post-radiation recovery that my head has just been spinning.

If you could, please bear with me my angels and I WILL get them all out I promise!! Embarassed
