On May the 2nd we attended Walter's retirement dinner. It was a wonderful evening put on by the social science department at the community college he will be leaving after 40 years of teaching. That is meaningful but the best is to come...
Walter's latest cancer test results reveal the treatment is now working!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are thrilled that he is outside and feels able to be cutting the grass on an almost warm day in Michigan.
We know this does not mean he is a 100% out of the so-called 'woods' BUT it is the most positive result yet.............
I want to thank each of you who took a minute to include him in your prayers because he feels better, he looks better and he is so much more positive about what are called the 'resting' years that come after retiriement.
We shall celebrate again on Friday before and after he leads the professors in during graduation for those getting degrees at the college.
Somehow I WILL be on that floor and I will take personal pictures as he walks in ahead of all of the professors. I will send them to Zey and I hope Zey will not mind putting a couple up for me.
It has been a year filled with highs and with lows but this is certainly a high. Thank you all for the love, for the peace and the faith you have helped me to keep---even when the days felt so very, very dark that I could not see much light. You are a loving family and I am proud to call each and every single ELC member my family!!!
I know the One above does hear and he does see and it is him to decide what happens and I am happy that when I am looking up at the stars that night that he will allow our Elvis to be the brighest star in the entire sky.
Love,
Marjorie

You deserve all these blessings and more my sweet angel!!
