Hi Wanda there is a Question I forgot to ask in my email, and I thought everyone else would like to know to. Everytime I seen Elvis getting ready to give a Girl a Kiss she wouldn't forget,Elvis always put his hand on the back of the girls neck so I guess if she decided to pull away she wouldn't be able to. My Question is that one and only time that Elvis gave you that Long Kiss, did he put his hand on the back of your neck to? Like who in their Right Mind would what to Pull Away, AnyWay! Very Happy FairyTale!

Well, he had my head in his right hand with his fingers in my hair at the back of my head- and kind of my neck I guess, and the left

hand was around my throat so there was no escape (fer sure). The little MG was low, the canvas top was if I stood beside it on the road, not quite shoulder high on me. But the car was at the curb and we were not on the street, just standing on the higher ground, there were no sidewalks there I don't think, I can't recall any as we walked on the road and then stepped up on the road edge that was one of his neighbor's front yard which was enclosed with bushes and proabably a fence behind them. It was a circle street and from Elvis' driveway the road went up hill slightly and I parked up there to be away from the gate people and other cars.

he pushed me onto the top of the canvas and though my feet were on the ground he was laying over me and he wasn't light weight either- I was pushing him back with both hands on his chest- he was like solid wall and I didn't make a dent! He thought he was going to make points I think- but all he got was a big zero from me- I wasn't about to let him think he had any chance and I sure didn't what him and his guys making jokes etc:... I didn't know him that well then, but did know him I thought, pretty well- he just surprised me, I was sturck dumb and stupid and then got angry that he'd do such a thing! Anyway, now I m glad he did, I have the memories and I can say I know what his kissing techniques were- some of them anyway and he was very good at it. Not messy, very sure of himself and he always had nice breath too. He chewed gum alot he said, and that's true. Plus he took care of his teeth. He tried to get his tongue involved but I would not let him do that- I had heard it said he liked kissing alot, and I'd say he did. The last time We kissed he was perfect, sweet and gentle and I did kiss him too... he didn't do anything wrong or baaaad and he was very sweet. I made him laugh teasing him before kissing him and he was funny. I put it in Face to Face- exactly what happened and that was mutual, friendly. It was funny, he never ever kissed me again after the car kiss, just on the cheek, the neck or forehead and then one time very quick and fast when I told him I could hardly believe the guy I knew was the one on stage and he'd finally reached too thin. He was so excited and high over having just done his 5 day in Vegas, or maybe it was the 4the I'm not sure now- we saw 5 shows...and he left bruises on my arms he was just so excited and happy. He didn't realize his own strength I'm sure at that time. He just grabbed hold and pulled me to him for the quick hard kiss on the lips. I feel very special... I got to kiss him and he even kissed me... and not just at the stage edge. Wow...I am so lucky. Why me? I could go around saying that like he did- why am I so blessed? Did we know each other in another life and he "owed me" something or I "owed him" allegience? Who knows. Who cares... Thank God I came to California! Jimmie made me come here- bless his little Creek Indian heart! wjh

You know, what I recall about being "close to Elvis" was the way he hugged, it was what one reads and thinks when saying "embraced" I think. He didn't just give a "fake" or "casual" hug- if he was going to hug you, he wrapped his arms around, he used his hands, he felt your shoulders, he pulled you in to his arms, he stepped into yours...I can't really describe it- but I know from reading and hearing a few other people who were hugged (even people he didn't know and was going down a line, or just ran into etc: or just met him) they all say being hugged by him was "special" and not just because it was a "star" or Elvis Presley...they were "touched" deeply, emotionally, spiritually, what ever one might call it, they expressed wonder, delight, sure shock and excitement at being that close to "him"...but they also comment on his "style of hugging"...some can't quite express it. Especially men whom he hugged... a few he kissed- and they usually were in "need" of something like that from a man they respected etc:... some have spoke of being "affected" in spiritual and good ways by his openeness in expressing his affection, respect and love for them as being his friend.
Something they NEVER get over or got over too. And I have to agree, being hugged by him was like coming into the arms of a loving parent...or someone you wished for or somehow needed- I can't explain it...it wasn't (for me and for many, many others it seems) was not a sexual thing at all, not his hug- it was one of care and love and very safe kind of feeling. Oh well, I know that my father used to make me feel that way... I had only him for several years - We lived at a boarding house with other people- I was the only child there... We had one big room with a table and three chairs, on one side and the "bedroom" on the other- I slept on the sofa most of the time except when one day there was no heat and it was freezing in there and my dad wrapped me in his wool navy blanket and we slept under everything we owned I think that night.
The next day there was ice frozen in my little fish bowl and my gold fish was still alive when it thawed out. Elvis' hugs were like being in my dad's arms when I was a child who lived just for him to come home from work so I would have someone who actually cared with me. I spent my days alone, sitting down stairs in the "joint" living room looking out the window. I couldn't go out-it was a busy street and strangers were out there so I had to stay in side. He met my step mom there, she was nice, pretty and shy and she would give me a cookie and milk when she was there and sit and talk to me sometimes. And she served us when we all ate dinner (the other boarders). My dad liked her, I could tell and they ended up getting married...so that's my thing a bout Elvis' hugs...they were real, in so many ways. And I wasn't the only one to notice that-
so I know he was special even in the way he embraced everyone he met and got to hug. You can see it in photo's of him hugging people... it wasn't just in the movies...he did it from the beginning of his singing career...and probably before too. We just don't know about that.
bye, wjh

Oh, Wanda, I am green with envy. You are the luckiest woman on earth to have been kissed and hugged by Elvis. You gave him what for when he did that. (tee-hee) I love your spunk. I almost feel that by having my Elvis dream and finding this site that I have been enveloped by one of his hugs. What a lovely, safe feeling this is. I cannot even imagine being kissed by those soft, cuddly lips. I don't think I would ever stop. I read where he used to get fever blisters from kissing all those women, but he wouldn't stop. What a treasure for all those women. I also love that he blessed the scarves and Cholly was the only other person who could touch them. Those scarves were expensive. There is a copy of the receipt for a box of scarves on Elvis Insiders. I can't find it right now to see the exact amount, but I know they were very expensive.

I have noticed that in all the pictures of Priscilla kissing him she always had her eyes open. I wonder why. Question I think I would get a headache if I kissed my husband with my eyes open or at the very least, I might go crosseyed. Look at the kiss in the wedding picture/video (on youtube) and you can see this. There are other photo's too where she does this too.

I don't know how true this is, but a long time ago one of our friend's daughter's knew Priscilla through being a hostess at one of the steak houses where Priscilla would have parties- it had a Hawaiian theme and she had karate friends etc: and her boyfriend Mike's friends for big steak dinners etc:. Anyway, Priscilla told about her eye make up that Elvis "insisted" she wear etc:...and it was so heavy and the false eye lashes etc: if she closed her eyes, the lashes would stick to her cheek and leave smears- and he didn't like to see that- so she never shut her eyes - she didn't wear that eye make after she left him- but then it wasn't the "style" to wear it that way then either and she was very "stylish".
So maybe that's why her eyes ere always open? He always closed his eyes... I noticed that... Anyway, maybe her eye make up and those lashes would cause a problem- never wore them, don't know my self.
She did wear the mascara that did run when she cried- etc:...I do know that from what others who saw her had to say about it- like the hostess on one of the planes she flew back to Germany on- she cried the whole trip and had "racoon eyes" the hostess said. She asked the young girl if she wanted to wash her face before getting off and she said no- I think she wanted her parents to see how "miserable" she was having to leave Elvis behind.... Just a thought... They were "shocked" at her appearance- she left a young innocent child and came back "dressed like older and looking like she'd been on a wild binge"....according to her mother's remarks around that time.

Well, anyway, for a while he was very, very happy even though he didn't get exactly what he wanted for his wedding day... he did get the one he chose and they did have a beautiful baby girl and for a short time, he was the happiest I'd ever known him to be.

Like he said, "Sometimes bad things happen to good people..."
