I think these few words speak strongly about another's spiritual growth, on a daily basis, as a result of a life-changing event. Fox could have CHOSEN to hide in his house when he was diagnosed with Parkinson's at his very young age but instead he kept the actors working on Spin City as long as he could do the work physically, and then he did step out and announce his illness and as a well known person he had/has a bully pulpit from which to do good things for others who suffer with his same disease.

I believe this is a quote that Elvis would understand very quickly. Elvis often said it was his fans that made what he did for a living worth it because of the love, I think, that flowed between Elvis and his fans and which continues as I type this. People that respect what Michael J. Fox is doing are the same kind of people who had/have a great respect for Elvis as a man who gave concerts for no pay but instead to help others, and like Elvis, Fox takes no paycheck from the foundation but instead donated money is utilized by researchers to try to find the correct kinds of things that may lead to a cure someday.

The quote will stay in my head today as I think about many diverse things.
