1975 excerpt(I don't think this was posted earlier- but if so, well...)
Elvis: How long you 'n Jim been married now... ?
Wanda: Well, in October it will be 15 years...
Elvis: Hummmm....'n you all still ...happy 'n ever' thing?
Wanda: Yep- I picked a good one---or maybe w'ere just lucky! (Laughs)
Elvis: Yeah...guess so. (Silence- softly says) Wish some of that luck'd rubbed off on me...guess it didn't...
Wanda: Things happen for reasons we often don't understand...good and bad... some one I know told me that...not too long ago.
Elvis: May be... Ya know, startin' to quote me...better look out- People be sayin' you're crazy! (Laughs)
Wanda: Well, they might be right - sometimes even I think it!
Elvis: 'bout me?
Wanda: (Laughs) No Elvis, not about you! You're about the least crazy person I know![/i]
Elvis: (Snickers) Gawd, you ARE in trouble woman! _________________ Wanda June Hill

Thanks Wanda for this cute conversation snippet. I enjoy reading all your conversations with Elvis. Will there be some in F2F too? _________________ Laurie

Quite a few will be in there- runing the range of what I have over several years time...to one of the last- which I did post before...he's complaining with his back hurting etc; Some early ones, some funny, some tender moments and some totally Elvis sense of humor...and his intelligent and far reaching intelectual views. And about his little girl of course. I think it's a good portral of the man, that's what I am reaching for with this book and what's in it. It's growing in size "fer sure". Lots of new material and insight...from lots of people. I liked that little post above- it's so him- had to think that I meant HE was crazy maybe...but then he heard that quite a lot from his friends etc:... still, a little insecurity shows up. I miss him.

Wanda I would have settled for for just the chance to have seen Elvis in person, but to have a the the talks and the time you shared with Elvis in person would have been a dream come True for me. I know it had to seem not Long Enough Time for you, I know how Much I Miss Elvis but I know your Heart Aches for one more Phone Chat and One more time to hear that Giggle! Thank You So Much Wanda for Allowing Me in Getting to Know You and by Knowing You, I have Been Blessed for Knowing Elvis so Much Better. _________________ HOTT DAWG! - FairyTale! |

Wanda,
I must be reaching high levels of oversensibility, as tears came to my eyes when I read the little piece of conversation you posted above. Maybe I cought the feeling behind Elvis' laughs...
Certainly you must miss him... _________________ Amanda Viola

Count me in as another one who enjoys your special conversations with Elvis so very very much dear Wanda!! It is no doubt and totally understandable how much you miss him my sweet friend, and as dear Sarena said how very blessed you are to have all of your precious memories with him!! I do have one question for you about F2F which I am so looking forward to!! I remember you posted somewhere else a while back(can't remember where or when now--there goes the brain again ) that you were thinking of including of the "naughty" jokes or comments that Elvis made or said to you once in a while. Is that still the case? I'm asking because I think it's so cute(as I just posted elsewhere a little while ago) when he tried to say or do something "naughty" because from the different videos I've seen and things I've read throughout the years he would go about it so innocently and then right away look to see what people's reactions were. Silly boy!! |
