Walter will be 66 on August the 8th and his latest test results will be done in two weeks. He says he feels good and so we will go to a Native American Festival on his birthday because we both enjoy watching original dances and hearing the languages spoken by some tribal members. It has been quite a year but we are blessed to have him here. :)

73smile, I pray that your Walter has a speedy recovery from here on in. It is always so hard on the family too when a loved one is ill. Please take good care of yourself too while taking care of your Walter.

I love the Native American Pow Wows. I used to go to them all the time and even knew some of the dancers and drummers. At almost every one I attended a hawk would start circling above. His song was so loud and clear. Hawks are revered by Native Americans and are considered sacred. I loved going to the pow wows. I find the Native American culture so uplifting and almost mystical.

My father was an archeologist and a firefighter. As a child I was always helping my father in his digs. We took great care to take care of what we unearthed. Most of what my father unearthed is in museums now. My father specialized in New England Native American archeology. It was fascinating and to this day I am a history buff because I was brought up with a great respect for all things of the past.
