It's exactly 50 years (!!) today since Elvis' beloved mother passed away.

Alna, that's a very tender picture you posted....

It definitely is a very tender picture dear Sarena. Thank you so much sweet Alna for posting it for us. :D I find that particular picture so sweet and tender because Elvis' whole life was getting ready to be turned upside down with getting ready to be inducted into the army, and our poor baby had so many uncertainties that went along with that in regards to his life and career. :? Yet there he is comforting and making sure that his sweet momma is ok. :D  What a wonderful sweet boy and what a loving and doting son. :D  I can hardly believe that she's been gone for 50 years and that it's been 31 since our precious guy left all of us. :(

A Very Lovely Picture and it sure doesn't seem that long either, but at least now Elvis and his Mama well never be apart anymore.

I agree with both of you my dear angels. The only thought that helps to ease my sadness at him being gone from us is that he and his sweet momma have been reunited once again.

I thought this Elvis quote from Larry Geller's Leaves of Elvis' Garden would go well with the lovely photo Alna posted.

"The first time I heard about the Almighty I Am was from my mom when I was a little kid. She believed in the supernatural and the Holy Spirit. She was mystical, man. She just naturally knew things. She raised me on it."
Laurie

It behooves one to sense God as dwelling within each of us, rather than as some distant entity, far above and seemingly beyond our reach.

AMEN! :)

Gladys was a special, dear lady and she's best and well remembered in memory for being the sweet spirit to bring our sweet spirit, Elvis into the world! Rest in peace, precious lady, and you have both your sons and your husband with you again, in Heaven above now!

One day we will all get to meet and get to know one another in one big happy party! :D
