Thanks Lindsaygirl for an up to date picture of Dixie. I bet she was being interviewed about Elvis.

Here is one of her & Elvis taken in 1955 at her South Side Jr Prom:

Anyone have a larger size of this photo?

It behooves one to sense God as dwelling within each of us, rather than as some distant entity, far above and seemingly beyond our reach.

Awwwww, how cute do they look??  :D Thanks so much dear Laurie for posting this great picture of Dixie and Elvis for us! :D Whenever I look at this picture it makes me both happy and sad. Happy because Elvis looks so happy here-like he's really enjoying himself and doing something "normal" or "just like what any other guy would or could do" . :D On the other hand it makes me sad because this was probably one of the last few times in his life that Elvis could actually go somewhere out in public and do something "normal" or what "any other guy would or could do" without the worry of being mobbed by people. :(

It sure is a a Sad Thing to have had to live in Fear like I know Elvis felt in what might happen to him, if he would walk down the street like all of us took for grated. But I guess we have to look at want did happen to Elvis in the Early Years, to see that we wouldn't to go out in Public either.
