registering with donar bank

Postby 73smile » Sat Sep 06, 2008 3:45 pm

I know and I respect that each person has diverse views and feelings about organ donation. It is important enough to me that I registered with the national data bank as did Walter and the 'kids' to donate our organs.
We all feel that if any part of our physical remains can be used when we are on our way to the One above that that is what the One above and maybe Elvis, too, would want those who are comfortable with the idea, to do.

Like you said dear Marjorie, even though each person may have their own views on this, and what they are or are not comfortable with, I think it is a beautiful idea that in the face of sadness and loss, upon someone allowing their organs to be donated, light and the precious gift of life and renewal of hope can be brought about. :D :D My husband shares this feeling as well. :D

so happy

Postby 73smile » Mon Sep 08, 2008 5:30 pm

Hello.

I am glad as is the One above and I thnk Elvis, too, are happy that organ donation can only be a positive.
Michigan was supposed to have the software ready to imbed a heart on the front of each driver license but nothing yet. The problem with Michigan licences is that the information about donating organs (information smears off.)
Whatever anyone can use of my physical body when I am called home is a positive to me because someone might be able to be freed from machines keeping heart and lungs and kidneys working. My eyesight is very poor but maybe some now blind could see!!!
always with love,
