Hi, he could be so funny-not intentionally many times but just the way he "blurted things out" and it was so natural for him to do that- never knew any guy who was so right out there honest, tell it like it is kind of thing and he could be so secretive too-if it was something that was troubling or he felt strongly about-like Ann Margret-not a word-even when he had already met her and was going to do a movie with her-he didn't tell me that when I said I had seen a young woman on tv I thought he should meet her-he said what's her name and I told him and he didn't say one word-he was already seeing her!
They connected right away-and the feeling was mutual.
But careers-just too much for those two to make it together. He wanted a homemaker and a mother for his children- and chose the one he thought would be there. Anyway- he was something else- a big kid who if he trusted and liked you-nothing was too personal or couldn't be shared...the first few times he said things like that to me it bothered me-I sometimes blushed and was glad he couldn't see me! Then I just got used to him and his mouth and ways, he didn't mean anything by it-it was just his life and that's what happened and so what kind of thing-still it was a crack up at times- I couldn't not laugh at his stories and just ever day happenings.
I miss him alot... this one was in our safe-along with some pictures and other things. I've been looking for little things to add to Face To Face and "testing" them on ELC- This one isn't too personal- is it? Do you think she would be angry ? Or should I give a damn? Opinions are appreciated on these things. wjh

I couldn't help but laugh over Elvis' brutal honesty. Very funny. I don't see anything in there that would make 'Cilla look bad. And it has the added plus of showing how much Elvis loved 'Cilla & that being faithful was important to him. As for being too personal, I don't think so. Really can't see 'Cilla getting angry, as Elvis basically goes into how he felt, having the jitters & all. It's not like there's a complete second by second description of their honeymoon night. Well, just my thoughts . . .

how a tender hearted,loving man he was ..Wanda ,it was her who became unneccessarily personal in her book.. so I don't think there's any harm in this..Maybe we are kinda special group here,hope this wil never get spoil,so we understand and respect things he told to you,as you did before..it's easier to understand him for us than for people who still love the image only..

After all, also, can't see Priscilla getting mad at you: as Zey rightfully mentions, it's Pris who got unnecessarily personal in her own book so can't be any problem with this.

This story, I loved so much. Reread it a couple of times. Here we don't hear Elvis Presley but just Elvis who is so happy and so much in love with his wife.

How could Priscilla not like this story????

It shows how human he was, how tender...

This is a unique story never read before, so unique, a whole lot different from what we sometimes read in magazines.

Priscilla is always telling what a sweet and good husband he was, so this is a proof that he really was.

Add this in your book for sure, people will love it... I'm sure.

I think when she will read that she will no doubt have memories and my God it may hurt

I already told you all I am often on the Priscillapresley forum also. Hope you all don't mind. But mind you I always defend Elvis and there are real nice people, some very good forum friends of mine , but sometimes there are others with real naive comments regarding her. Well then I sometimes give a sneer comment.

I would love to post this conversation on her forum but I first want to have your consent Wanda. It is a great story and people there would love it too because all those Priscilla fans also like Elvis a lot.

But again if you do not want it I shall NEVER post it. What do you think , it is your descision.

I know she reads the topics, so it would be perhaps a surprise for her to read this beautiful conversation of him.

I will wait for your answer and kindly will agree with your opinion.

Riley, I don't mind, BUT I would like to get Maia's take first, so please wait a bit for her to get to it. She is not feeling good right now and having a tough time with her health but she will be on here reading things in the next day or so. I think Pris would be kind of stupid to object to that being on any site-but never know about her. It would really be a dumb move to be negative- it actually puts her in a good light- the light of love from her husband! A friend told me that she said he put roses in their bed- I don't remember reading that but I didn't read her book word for word-and haven't seen it since-my daughter has it packed up with all the others she has-some I've never seen. She buys them and boxes them up-some she doesn't even read! She gets them for the pictures she says, not the written content. And doesn't like to read crap and get angry so she just never reads them...unless she knows they are good things about him. Few and far between sometimes-but maybe it's getting better out there now. The last book I read was
Sean Shaver's photo book-and he's had other since then but we don't have them, I don't think. Starla might-though she would have shown me the photo's I think.
Anyway, let me see what Maia thinks-I will use it in the next book though and I'm glad I went looking through stuff and found that-I remembered him saying some of that about the roses etc; but when I read the whole transcript it was a riot! And he was so honest and serious and funny too, and not even trying to be that!
I know they started out well together-it was that career and her being young and wanting him there-she just didn't realize I guess-and Elvis could be pretty blunt and right out there too... he did have a cold side-I saw it a few times and it wasn't a good feeling coming off him.
I think people lived in fear of that part of his personality and thank heaven it didn't show often. I kind of think she may have seen it alot after things went awry for them. He was deeply hurt, offended and angry at her
and at himself for not being smarter about what he thought he ought to have known would happen. He didn't handle things well when he was dealing with himself and what he thought were weakness that might show. And too, his dreams were shattered, totally in just a short time-from totaly happiness to total dispair-there was no inbetween for Elvis- he was up or he was down... the middle was all faked. And he was good at it.

Hi, as far as I see it, the writing will be on the wall (a biblical expression) once Wanda's book comes out. If any of "them" are going to pitch a fit, then that's what is going to happen. No sense in trying to "hide" the ELC Forums stuff from anyone!

Riley, Maia's response is below-so let's do it, as Elvis would say. I can't imagine any one being upset or angry about any thing he said-and I didn't say anything much at all. Most likely she will not acknowledge it - it's for his fans anyway...not his exwife... Who has her own story.
I hope you don't have a bunch of nay sayers Riley. If so, please don't respond in my behalf- my motto this time around is Peace and Goodwill. period. I will not give any of them any thing to "eat" and if you don't "feed" them, they "die".

Riley, please be sure to put Maia's ELC site address up with it so they can go to it for more. This conversation is not in We Remember, Elvis but there is so much good stuff and conversation too, on ELC. I hope we don't get whopped with a lighting bolt from the blue from Elvis! I'm the one who'll get hit! He might not mind-at least people will know that they were in love and that he was trying to be a good husband and he sure did adore his "little Cilla"...
One thing Riley, if there are "nay-sayers" don't get involved in trying to "defend" me in any way please. My motto this time around is "Peace and goodwill." period.
My daughter told me this: "Mom, don't "feed" them and they'll "die"- Don't give them any "fuel" for their fire and it will turn to ashes." She's right. As Elvis said, "They'll believe what they want to-nothin' anyone can do about that." I wouldn't want to know that you were caught in the middle- it's not a nice place to be so try not to go there. The priscillaforum is a bunch of great people, really . Always nice and polite. I think they will love it.

This forum is really the best, here you have those beautiful, fresh stories. I don't understand why Priscilla never shares some stories like that on her forum the fans would love it and would hang on her lips. That would make her so much more loved instead of only posting about her stuff to buy.

Don't understand her, but hey I have realised quite some time I never will. I've accepted the things I know, I'm glad they had Lisa together and I'm glad she gave him that prescious child. I'm also glad he DID have happy times with her too because let's face it we all know she was the love of his life.

I wanted to post it on the priscillapresley forum today, but I descided not to do . Not for the moment. There have been 2 or 3 new users registred and really they are there only to humiliate her and also our previous posts.

They give very obscene comments regarding everything about her previous posted, I really don't want that beautiful story of them being used and misused at all. So I will wait until these persons are banned and they will believe me.

They should. You know all I have my reservations about her but this crap she does not have to buy either.

You can read what is going on for the moment and you will understand I won't post this beautiful story now it is not the right moment.

I did post it on another beautiful site. Webmistress is Misty. She is a very friendly person who also dedicated part of her forum too Elvis Presley and Lisa Marie Presley. Never had any bad experience on this forum. It is now renewed and I have posted the story there.

Go and see it, you may need to register in order to go to the forum.

There is a chapter totally dedicated to Elvis and I intend to post there a lot of beautiful stuff, pics etc... about him.

Me too, have just tried looking at a few things and it says you have to register to get into them so as I'm not that bothered, I'll pass on it for now. But agree with you: whatever my thoughts on Pris, there is absolutely NO NEED for sick comments or garbage about her - totally OUT OF ORDER, that is!!!!

However, whatever you decide to do, Riley, and if you choose to put the conversation up on the site, hope Pris will read it and have some precious memories of her time with Elvis. Also that some of the members from Cilla's site will come over to ELC to take a look at Wanda/Maia's wonderful selection and abundance of information - hope so, yea!

Hi, you will probably receive a notice back with a name and password if you tried to register- I got one and went to the site. It had some with pictures of Elvis. I didn't look at any of the other parts though. One post -thought the new story was wonderful-so that was encouraging that there will be others who think so also. I too, would not like to have a bunch of "louts" ripping anything up that related to Elvis-or even Priscilla. The whole story probably has yet to be told-but what we know is quite enough as it is. I do not understand why there are people who think it is okay to invade every particle of some one's life just because they are a "name" in show biz. But it happens and they do- I heard some pretty good ones about myself and I was never in "show biz" nor had any inclination toward it.
yet because I had a book out it made me fair game-some of the things were down right laughable and so unlike me it was a riot! We laughed our heads of almost over some-but other things when hooking me with a few other types was not funny- things were sworn that I said or did that were totally untrue and off the wall by about 50 feet or more! Still, stick out your neck and there will always be somebody willing to take a whack.
My 82 year old father told me that a long while ago. He
was right. He just loved Elvis-this time there is a story from him in the book-he used to tell me how awful Elvis was going to be, what he had in mind etc; and didn't believe any one like him would be a nice guy-then he talked to him himself-bingo! He loved him- and couldn't say enough nice things about him. Defended him in church even-he was a Deacon then...he said he stood up and told them all they were wrong! I would have liked to seen that-my dad, the shy, quiet capricorn who stammered when he talked to strangers too-and he stood up in church for Elvis! Wow! I told Elvis and he was so humble and sweet-and called him to thank him for "standin' up for me in front of all those people" -my dad said he thought Elvis was going to cry...wjh
