He would love that comment! Some of the last things he said were regarding how he looked, how he felt and that he regreted it so much but wasn't anything he could do about it. He said, "um just too vain, guess I have that lessonn to learn." He just dreaded being able to see the people's eyes looking at him since the light would be up for filming he'd have to see them looking at him. And he was very vain about his looks, not in a bad way but wanting to look his best always, important to him that he look good-it was drummed into his head for so many years he lived it. And at the end everything ego was taken from him,...but he put ego aside, lay down his pride and beauty at his feet and surrendered his heart to his audience and gave it the best he had as always. And he did good, I was so amazed at the part we did see of that last show how he was not being "him" out there-he was being just me, Elvis and this is all there is. The way he spoke to the people, the way he handed out the last scarf...and that's when I lost it, I didn't see any more of the show. We were too blinded by the flood running down our faces. And then to hear his voice at th e end saying Adios, till we meet you again... and I learned he had been saying that for several performances-he knew the meaning of that word-talked about it earlier on so there was a purpose. anyway, I know he would love what you said Amanda. you think like him. wjh
