Concerning the fist with little finger and thumb outstretched (which he showed at the end of the Aloha-concert) I somehow remember that I read, that someone said that its meaning is "I am your brother". It came like a memory flash yesterday after I had read your question.
But I`m not 100% sure .....anyway, this would be a nice gesture and message and typical of Elvis, too

Yesterday, I looked in Internet for "mudras". There are thousands of references to it, from many diverse disciplines. There are drawings of some, but I could not find that one. I had little time for searching, so I stopped soon. I don't put any link here, because most of the pages I saw were in Spanish.

WOW!
I thought I was the only person who was in love with Elvis' hands! I noticed them every time I watched him perform, so alive with energy and so beautiful. His fingers were unusally long and slender and very artisitc looking. I have always loved the way he expressed his feelings through his hands, especially the way he sort of flickers them when he is trying to get a point across. I remember feeling sad reading about how bloated his hands became when he was ill and how Priscilla noticed how strange they felt at the divorce court. The eyes are the mirrors of the soul and the hands the expressors of emotion and Elvis had both in bucketfuls. How I would have loved to hold those hands in mine..

Talking about his hands ... I noticed that he has often got bandaids (sorry don't know if that is the correct word) under his rings. Does any one know why he did that? I often wonder about this.

Hi, he taped his fingers because people tried to pull his rings off, sometimes too, they squeezed his hands so hard his rings cut his fingers, the sets and mountings as well as the bands. And too, he was always getting scratched and fingernails especially the extened ones, could cut easily as well. The bandaids started in Vegas and got more common as he toured etc:. Sometimes his fingers would be bruised, black and blue from just shaking so many hands and he still did it. Still put his hands out to people everywhere he went knowing he would have cuts etc;. And a time or two he had to have his rings cut off his fingers due to them swelling from being bent, yanked on etc:. He said that when he was on stage or in a crowd like that, he didn't notice what was happening to his hands...it was later on and then he didn't know who did it or when, it just happened. wjh
