Even had this been sensationalised to some degree by the 'powers that be', it was Priscilla's CHOICE that the movie be released ultimately! It paints a black picture of Elvis and feel this is so very unfair specially as there's no chance for him to at least speak up for himself and put the record straight. From what I have gathered and understood about Elvis, he chose instead to take the blame for so much of how Priscilla had treated him and therefore would no way have wished to 'redress the balance' or 'take revenge' that wouldn't have been in his nature as such, certainly because it would send a bad picture of Lisa's mother out into the public, press and world in general.
Isn't it just heartbreaking we can't say the same of her?!
Yesterday I was watching my Charlie Hodge DVD called The Elvis I knew. I cried through a lot of it. I can't help it. I just want to jump back into time, run to Elvis, wipe his tears and soothe his soul.
I cannot comment on Nancy Rooks' book as have not read this to date BUT I have seen Charlie's DVD and so very much agree with you, Laura!
