Home from my grandma "fix"

Postby 73smile » Mon Jul 28, 2008 6:36 pm

I am 1 year older but being with the boys since Friday makes me very happy to be around to enjoy every single second that I can with them. They are growing too fast.
Gavin uses words like gargantuan and incredible and knows what they mean....he is almost 4 going on 40!! Hayden had great fun playing with grandpa's beard and when we had my birthday cake Hayden had some, too. He was chocolate baby and needed a bath after but he sure did enjoy the cake as did his grandma!!
We went to a county fair one day and Hayden really liked having a small goat eat out of his hand and Gavin thought it quite funny when a turkey pecked at grandpa's hand. We played a game and Gavin won a large stuffed dragon and he was very excited about that.
We saw the new house, we played in the park, we spent at least an hour with Gavin at a local Toysrus and Jeff cooked hot dogs for my birthday and the boys made me a card.
All in all it was pretty great turning 57. I know I am blessed to have healthy grandsons and that I still feel young enough to get down on the floor and play with them both until we all are worn out. :D
