(He was in Bev. Hills home, waiting for his daughter to call so he could spend a few days off with her. I wasn't taping the conversation but I hit the record message on my answering machine when he answered the call and this is what I got.)
Elvis: Hello? [pause.] Who is this? [pause] You got to be kidding! SHE wouldn't call me! [pause] You're THAT Presley kid-YOUR his daughter? Gawd....I'm so thrilled!! What? [pause]
Who taught you words like that! (Laughs that muffled inside his mouth giggle) Okay ooo deddy oves ooo wittlesweetyone, be right there, leavin' now! (He told me bye-bye and I didn't hear from him again for weeks until he was heading to Vegas. I liked to never figured out what he was saying- it's said that he talked that way with his mother and his girlfriends that counted, including his "cilla".)

I always LOVE and so appreciate all of the stories you share with us about Elvis Wanda, but the ones about he and his baby girl are always especially endaering and really touch my heart.

His unconditional love for his "little sweet one" was so easy to see and I just love being able to literally feel the joy that he felt whenever he talked to or about her with you Wanda.

My heart just breaks for both of them when I read this. It seems that they had to see each other on the run. On the other hand, if little Yeesa lived with her dad full time with the way he spoiled her, perhaps she wouldn't be so well rounded today. Too much of anything is not good for anyone. I just wish he could have seen her grow up into the lovely woman she is today.
