subject: Closer Encounter (early days - in the desert)

Elvis: We were way off from the fire and we saw this light in the sky-moving weird you know, not like a plane or anything like it...it got brighter as it was coming in closer. It was cigar-shaped, oblong and rounded, and had some window-like portholes on one end and had lights along the bottom-but the damned thing had no wings, no means of being up there at all that I could see. Well, we were watching it and the guys at camp started hollarin' cause they saw it too-and then we all ran to each other and got quiet, and we heard the sounds it made-it was like electricity, buzzing and metallic sound, not like any engine we ever heard-and then as it got kinda over us-still high, mind you, but up there over us-our hair began to prickle. It stood up on my arms and on my head, and I got this wierd feeling like I was going to float any minute...Well I thought they were going to take me-man! But we all felt it, and then Lamar started groaning and he fell over on his face-man flat in the sand on his face! And we all kinda got spooked 'cause he was like dead! He had no heartbeat and I started to pound his chest, and Jerrry's sayin' give him mouth-to-mouth, you know, and he came around fast-he was yelling about flying saucers taking him off and we figured it was just that he was drunk then. But the thing was gone when he came around. We didn't see it leave, but then we stayed up all night looking for it.

We called the base that is not far-marine base you know-air command post-and they said there was UFO reports, but it was nothing. You know how they are. But man, we saw it! And that's not the first time, either. A bunch of us saw one one night coming out of the studio-it was right over us-right over LA and big as life-man it was weird-it was round! Like a saucer-and that night there were blackouts around the area and across the country. You can't tell me they aren't doing that-checking out how things work, I mean. They are coming and damn I hope I'm here! Man, I want to see one! I want to see'em up close! Hot damn! That would be a blast!

Wanda: I haven't seen a UFO but I know a couple of people who say they have-and now you. I believe in them though-it only makes sense that there is life out there.

Elvis: I know it-I'm from out there-I told you that.

Wanda: I know you did-and darn if I don't believe you! You're way out!

Elvis: Uh-huh!

While I have not personally experienced a UFO, a friend of mine and her mother did quite a few years ago and said it was wierd but really amazing too.

For sure, there is life on other planets though I kind of find it a little amusing that so many seem to think aliens look the same with white faces and elongated heads - this has been taken note of but why should they ALL be and look the same any more than we do on this planet? When one thinks of the diversity of shape, age, colour, race etc here it's kind of crazy to label whoever may be out there as one look - one shape?!

Always interesting to read Elvis' take on things though!!

Guess I missed this the first time around. :oops:

I found it very interesting to read though and have to say that I too believe in UFO'S and think it makes perfect sense that there definitely is life out there. I too always enjoy reading Elvis' take on things and hearing about experiences in his life.

Thank you Maia for posting this for us and thank you dear Sue for bringing it back around for all us "late-comers." :wink:

Oh Lord, I just realised I'd brought it back round twice, sorry about that! :oops:

It does make sense that there's other life out there but us, other galaxies and other universes though I don't feel all the aliens have grey, tear-drop shaped faces as many who said they've seen aliens and UFO's have said, this does seem to be a somewhat arrogant assumption that all aliens look exactly the same - why should they when everyone on this planet looks so very different with widely different faces, shapes, each unique in so many ways, you know ?

OF COURSE I believe in diverse humanities and when young, I PRAYED STRONGLY to meet some of them. Now I believe I did: evoluted Beings that came to Earth from distant stars to help. :wink:
