I promise that as soon as it's cooler weather I will get Starla to make some pictures for you guys of me-in my glad rags as they are known around here. I won't wear my "horse clothes" they truly are RAGS! But I wash them to death as you can't go down to a horse and not get dirty-they want to touch, kiss and nudge or just in general blow on you and that's icky enough! But it's dirty feeding, picking up stalls/pens etc: and I am always filthy when done. So my horse clothes become well worn rags fast! I wear white t-shirts alot as I can bleach them and they don't last long for sure-but they are cool in summer and as I said, I bleach them. It takes 3 a day-we feed three times as they are grazing animals and were made for grazing little bits all day long-and it helps to keep them with something in their little tummys. So we get dirty-especially me as I am always into something or they are "helping" me with my chores for them...horses are very good students...they will try to rake if they can get hold of one and we had Jimmie's mare Promia pick up a small hand saw he had left within her reach and she was busy trying to saw her railing in half when we discovered she had found it. She was holding it correctly too-with just her mouth! and had that saw blade running across the rail as she had seen Jimmie cutting up boards where he was building a shade for her buddy next door to her. Smart creatures they are! More than us actually-they LEARN OUR language! And can only speak to us in sign language-so who's the "monkey" here? wjh
