People will always be curious, wondering why and what happened etc: but that's just the way it is among us human beings I guess. I wonder, I question and it still doesn't seem to be quite a fit when I finally come up with an answer for my self. Things were so perfect-people both beautiful looking, both big hearted, both destined for public life, both photogentic and both wanting to be married to each other-and the baby was just like them-in many, many ways-so what was it? Fate-I think so. A part of the plan. Something that had to be in order for things to work as intended for each one of them. Why is not for us to know...but to always wonder why and question. Even the parties involved question and wonder and say what if, if only, why didn't etc:. never ends and never will...if the earth is here 20 years from now, people will still wonder the same things. That's just life...wjh

I don't think Nadine/Alna's question to Wanda is an unreasonable one

I hope Laurie, that your comment doesn't implies I meant Nadine-Alna question was unreasonable. I chose carefully my words not to hurt anyone, but at the same time to bring forth my general thought about the social context and its importance for the understanding of behaviors -and why I avoided coming directly to talk of this particular case, also. I was not trying to judge our dear Alna's post.

Probably you are aware that mostly -except a few emotional expressions of love and admiration for Elvis- I tend to bring my participation at the Forum to a general interest's zone and as much as I can in my limitations, to a spiritual point of view, since I understand this is the main trend of this site and what makes it different from others. It is my will, yet it does not mean any wish to harm any friend's feeling in any way. I would like to leave it clearly stated and, of course, I don't intent to set any kind of controversy, that would not be related to what my heart feels.

Amanda, I know mean nothing but love and good will toward people and that you do your best to keep the ELC forum spiritually centered. And I love to read your opinions because they are full of so much wisdom. I guess I was just making sure people felt it was OK to ask questions. :D

It behooves one to sense God as dwelling within each of us, rather than as some distant entity, far above and seemingly beyond our reach.

Thank you for your kind clarification, Laurie. :) I see you were also trying to keep a balance with your comment.

A few days ago I was comenting with Simeon -Maia's husband- something about Service. My conclusion from our email interchange was that Service streams from Love and it flows smoothly with Life. When we shift a little from Love, we may fall into Duty, a lesser manifestation where we may become stiff and rigid, starting to clash against people and/or situations. In the later, the ego wish to gain something to enlarge itself, something of the kind of: -"I HAVE TO... (whatever)... and I'll be considered responsable and/or duty full and/or attentive", etc. etc....

Why we may shift from Love? Easily. Maybe we are tired and become afraid of not having the strenght to fullfill our expectatives for doing things, for instance. The key is the word "afraid". As I have commented before, I understand the contrary of LOVE is Fear.

Anytime you see me coming to the frontier with "clashing", you can bet I'm sliding to Duty!
