Postby juliepresleyfan » Fri Dec 22, 2006 4:42 am

hi wondering what elvis was like at this wondrous time of yesr, i read he absolutely loved christmas , as i do too and im sure others on here too
did you ever get to see him at christmas , i know vernon dressed up as santa but did Elvis dress up as santa for lisa ?, prob not, and did he celebrate halloween .

oh by the way wanda thanks for christmas card :D from you and the critters, it would have been great to have Elvis with us now.
alive , maybe like our queen gives a christmas speach every christmas day at 2pm , if elvis was here now and did a christmas speach on tv and radio about how his year went and merry christmas lol

id rather see the king than our queen any day sorry your majesty lol

incidently if any of you want to see the queens speach this year maybe i can tape it and copy it on dvd lol

going to wish Elvis a merry christmas and hope he is happy , prob pulling cracker with a few new passed over stars maybe

MERRY CHRISTMAS everybody

luv julie

Elvis did record Christmas greetings for radio in the past, and for Mother's Day as well. They used to play them but I haven't heard them this year though a friend with Sirus Radio says they play him saying them on it during the holidays and on Mother's Day they play the greeting he recorded for all mother's everywhere. We will have Sirus radio soon too...finally we (our little area) is coming out of the "dark ages" and going "high tech"!
Maybe one day I'll have a faster computer too! I'd like to see the "king" too...I'd even sit at his feet again if he'd just talk...wjh

I didn't know Elvis made those greetings and that they are still played! It is really wonderful! Image

I'm so glad Wanda, that you'll have a better possibility to go with the present tech times at last! :P

I received the below in an email from Elvisgospel, one of the offical Elvis fan clubs:

Dear Gospel Fans and Praying Friends,

Every year, Fan Club Presidents are sent a special edition CD from Graceland, with greetings from Priscilla and Lisa.

I would like to share that with you. Below is a scan of the front cover of the CD, and their greetings.

Thank you, Laurie!

It's very nice to see, yet I feel a little like peepping through a hole in the wall. This is the kind of a fool I am.

Oh yes, I know Christmas is some way off yet but I just couldn't resist bringing this one back around to the front!

Just look at it this way ok? I thought well all the shops have Christmas connections and goodies a plenty but I just love Christmas anyway, anyhow anywhen so if I can't beat 'em I'm gonna join 'em! That's probably the worst 'excuse' I can think to come up with!
