I'm not kidding myself. My voice alone is just an ordinary voice. What people come to see is how I use it. If I stand still while I'm singing, I'm dead, man. I might as well go back to driving a truck.

Well, I don't agree with Elvis here! :wink:

His voice is a very special one. And through the voice we receive all the subtle informations and vibrations of its owner. We might not be aware of it, but the effect is there. What Elvis had achieved himself he could also transfer to others through his voice..and he still can if we are receptive and willing!!

Please don't get me wrong: it wasn't that I was agreeing with what Elvis said about his voice, just that I felt with his usual sweet characteristic of humility, it is something he would have chosen to say, hope this clears things up?

Totally agree with you, Christine and Amanda! Elvis was gifted with the most beautiful voice and he chose to use it for maximum effect for everyone but those of us who are receptive, open and willing to receive that gift are the very fortunate ones indeed!

"I tell you fer sure" the humility of that man never ceases to amaze me.

There was NOTHING "ordinary" about him at all, let alone that beautiful, soulful and angelic voice of his.
