Thank you all for sharing all these memories. He really loved his fans.

He did mention to me once that sometimes his aggressive fans scared him. He didn't go into detail, it was just a comment he made. We used to talk about how he was sad sometimes that he couldn't go anywhere, like to Disneyland, whenever he wanted to. I believe he lived some of those experiences through his friends. He would want to know every detail if I'd gone somewhere, like the beach or an amusement park, really pretty much anywhere I went. I loved sharing the experiences with him, but always let him know that I wish he'd been able to come with me.

Thank you so much for sharing this with us dear JoAnna. I too wish he could've gone with you whenever you went somewhere. My friends and I were just talking about this very thing last night during my daughter's Halloween party---about how Elvis couldn't ever really go out and do things whenever he wanted to. Made me so sad to think about the fact that the very people whom he loved so much and who loved him in return(his fans) were the same ones that made life so difficult for him, albeit not intentionally though. I'm just so very glad he had such wonderful and loving people like yourself and our dear Wanda in his life JoAnna that helped him deal with those difficulties.

AMEN to what you said, Mari and JoAnna also! It is a shame that Elvis could not get to go where he wanted many a time because of his fame and some of those more aggressive fans, I can understand why this would have bothered and worried him for sure though but thank God he had such as you, JoAnna and Wanda to be there for this wonderful, sweet man!
