Hi, using Starla's laptop, please excuse mistakes as it's sooo different.
Iappreciate being missed! BUT you all I miss sooo much! I feel lost out here in oblivian!
Lindsaygirl, he wasjust separated when he met Linda who was cheerful, fun and being from the south understood him pretty well. He said it helps when they speak the same language-meaning his southern -isums. She was his type, liked what he did, was religiousand she was still a "goodgirl" which wasa plus in his world. They were very much in love, but she knew he wasnot over the other one and maybe never would be and he was so restless, he felt he was preventing her from going on with her life and whenhe knew he wasn't well, he began "cheating" and letting her know it so she'd leave and he could be the 'cad" and wouldn't have to sendher away. Hemet Ginger about then too, and she reminded him of the good times with the other one, his "Cilla" and he was trying hard to get that back. But one of hisfriends calledit to his attention howshe looked so much like Pris at that age etc: and Elvis immediately began backing off.
I know he was in love hethought but like his friend Larry says inhis book, Elvis did tend to wear his heart on his sleeve...he was though, he even admitted, trying to get back those good days when everything was wonderful and he was so happy. He just became too beat down by all the problems with hishealth and too, Elvis was one who didn't like being told what to do, and who thought hehad to be strong for everyone. It was too much. But he still loved love, and being in love was something he liked, it made him feel good, gave him hope and he neededthat. Ginger was young, he felt young women didn't get "hurt" by him as much as they could pick up and go on to some one else-where as older women had family, jobs etc: and couldn't just come staywithhim. I think he did the besthe could, he tried not to hurt anyone of them, and he gave them all so much, spiritually as well as gifts. It says a lot that so far women from his past have all said he was wonderful, kind, generous and warm hearted as well as spiritual and generous with anything he had. And they stayed friends with him-that too me says just about everything.
I don't know when I'll be back on here. So be goodand have fun you all.
wjh
