How much time did Lisa spend with elvis after her parents went separte ways??

Quite a bit of time; he had her when he was in town and he stayed in town to be there for her as much as he could. She came to be with him in Vegas and Linda and her grew very close. Elvis even thought about marrying Linda and getting custody of Lisa a time or two, but he realized that would be the wrong reason to marry anyone so he didn't go that route. He was unahppy with the men friends of his "wife"and his daughter being present or shuttled about to accomodate them as he put it in a nasty tone of voice...he was so jealous still and just couldn't help it and he truly didn't want Lisa to be seeing so much of that since she didn't with him-I mean he had Linda who was the only one there for a very long time.
It was only later on that Elvis began to see other women on a constant basis according to the guys. And he had a reason-he was backing off from his relationship with Linda for "her own good" he thought. He did change, I think it was ill health as much as the prescription drugs that caused more bad affects than good ones because most had serious side affects that were sometimes worse than the problem. He just trusted too much in medical magic...another of those childhood teachings that hung on into adulthood. Happens alot especially back in those days. I hope we are smarter now-but I wonder when I watch the news.
Anyway, Elvis used to take Lisa to school, pick her up and sometimes he was seen around town with her and it would be just they two because he could get around in Bev. Hills, Rodeo drive etc: pretty well and not be bothered if he was careful. He was in stores and buying things with Lisa and she was always wanting to be with him. Later on, he'd come by to see her late at night and she says wake her up and sometimes sing to her so she could go back to sleep. She remembers him being around quite a bit and being with him at the house she was a baby in-I don't know now which one it was-they had two, started out with one and then bought another one that was bigger I think. He wanted a new house-didn't want to live in the first one anymore, a chance to "start over" kind of thing.
The one Pris bought when she moved out wasn't far from where he lived/they had lived/ and he kept it. I think it finally was sold after his death...as was the Palm Springs home he bought for them and kept to use when he was there. Lisa was there as well and so was Pris for a while until they separated. I put a story a lady told me about running into Elvis and Lisa coming out of a store on Rodeo drive or maybe it was Sunset Blvd. anyway, it was a small store and he and Lisa had been inside and came out to go to his car parked at the curb. It's a cute story...and Lisa kept him from running the woman down on the sidewalk as he was carrying the package and talking to his daughter and Lisa saw her and pulled him back to avoid running her over. She said he was so handsome, dressed all in white with a fancy belt on and he said something to her that was typical Elvis. The whole story is in Face To Face....and lots of other things too. I hope to have it out by late spring next year...with any luck. wjh

Thank you wanda. your stories always put a smile on my face. Iàm glad that lisa had all the time with her father, it was just a short time but it cam mean a lifetime in childs life. People always say that lisa didn`t have time with elvis and she can`t remember memories of him, but l think she does and keeps it with her in own private way.
