A couple of days late but here's a poem I found out there on the worldwide web!:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ELVIS
Another eighth of January
And still you're forty-two,
You never knew me, Elvis
But I'm the same age as you,
There we were in thirty-five
As bouncing baby boys,
And off to school by forty-one,
Before Pearl Harbor's noise,
Now I am retired, but still
I hear your music and recall
The day that I first heard of you,
We thought your name was strange, y'all,
I'll have my birthday soon, EP
It'll be my sixty-fifth in May,
Since seventy-seven you've been gone,
But your voice will forever stay.
