This Thing Called You, by Holmes

Postby Wanda June Hill » Fri May 12, 2006 5:47 pm

Hi, the above book was given to Elvis by May Mann, and he read it and read it-it was printed by Self Realization people but is a hardback book. Elvis gave it to me and now my daughter keeps it by her bed and reads it and rereads it at times. She says it gives her great inspiration and insight and comfort. Elvis has some under lined sections in it and she says he certainly laid down the good parts because those sections help her also. It's well worn by now and is one of her prized possessions regarding him. Though the notes and cards she got and the Bible are priceless too. Any way, I finally found out who wrote it so some one could locate a copy if there are any out there. I'm sure there are. It was given to Elvis in 1967 and apparently might have been fairly new at that time. wjh

Many thanks for your information with regards to this information, Wanda! Would be great to have a copy of this book so will have a look around but I can understand why your daughter would treasure the copy Elvis gave to her especially with his written notes and the Bible/notes/cards are special too!
