Listen to your heart .... spiritual meditation for the day

LISTEN TO YOUR HEART
You can learn and progress by reading and listening to others when they are giving guidance as they see it. But never lose sight of the fact that if it does not feel right to you it is not right for you. This does not mean that what is being said or has been written is incorrect, just that for you it is not right for now, and maybe, never will be. This is not a problem. Each one of you has your own pathway and the personal responsibility of how your tread it. There may be times when you will agree with what is being said or can see the merits but still don't want to accept it as your Truth. Reluctance is your right. Perhaps it is too down to Earth, lacking in the frills of Love and Compassion. But still you can see the logic. Then try to blend your feelings with the new lessons and see how that makes you feel. Interpretation by another is a personal thing and even when they are dogmatically saying that what they are receiving is from the Infinite Source and is right. Always remember that man is fallible even in his sincerity. The greatest lessons are learnt by going inside yourself and listening to your inner voice. You will find that you will always blend with the wisdom from within because it is yours and yours alone. Share the method and the feelings with all who are wanting to listen and let them find their own Truth too. This is the greatest assistance you can give to anyone. Nothing second hand is truly yours. To experience first hand is the way forward. You need one another for support and encouragement but only you can tread your pathway and reach your ultimate goal. Walk with your God in your Heart, hold Him in your hand and reach out to touch those who come to you. Giving Unconditional Love to another does not guarantee a reciprocation. Many have not yet learnt how to give and not to expect something in return. Even if it is only a Thank you. What you give is your responsibility and there it ends. How it is received and dealt with is not. Keep trying to let go of the Earthly restrictions man has placed on you. You are Free, you are Unique, you are Special and you are Loved Unconditionally. Who could possibly ask for anything more?

a question or two.....

Postby 73smile » Mon Apr 14, 2008 7:20 pm

Hello Fairytale.

I read the post and then went back and read it again and stopped to think about certain words.
How can I know that what I am doing is ven in the correct direction? I am struggling with something that there are very few people I can talk to about it. It is of such a magnitude that it could indeed kill me.
I pray about it, it is never away from my heart, my thoughts during too many sleepless nights and it impacts every single decision I make or do not make. How can I be sure? How will I know when what I do is right?
Right now I am indeed a woman with a soul that is lost to the extent that it has been rocked off the very edge of the hill that leads to the spiritual path.
I am not sure I can make it back this time. The more I think, the less sense I can make of the facts that have caused what feels like a tidal wave crashing over me and it sets and it waits to swallow me up.
How do I know what is right and when it is right?

73 MILE I have been in your spot before, and I have always found a place that I could go to for the Right Answers. The Place is the Holy Bible! every time I felt like this Life wasn't worth the Struggles and the Trials, I would always find something in the Bible that would Lift me up and I would find the Answers. Elvis is the Perfect example of someone that had so many things in his Life that was weighing him down, and Loses and he sometimes wanted to just give up. But he would go to his Bible and find the Answers he needed to go on, so Please if you have a Bible go to it and I know the Promise's of Hope and the Answers you need are in there. I well be Praying for you! FairyTale!

Dear Marjorie,

My experience tells me that everytime we are coming into a growing- evolutionary crisis, there comes the darkest night to our heart. BE PATIENT and COMPASIVE with yourself. If the answer is not there for you right now, then it is not time to have it, yet. But the time will come.

Your soul keeps on walking its path, even when you may be not aware of it. When DOUBT appears, put it aside to rest and remember every day the Sun raises up. When some inner pieces -that are working now, for a while away from your awareness- will fall in place, you'll regain the correct perspective of your steps. To not have that perspective right now, doesn't mean that you are not walking your way, or that you have been rocketed out of your path.

If you feel the need to, you may email me. I'm having severe trouble with the Internet line, that very often is dis-connected for periods of time. So maybe I will not answer inmediately, but I'll do as soon as possible.

Best wishes and lots of LOVE.

thoughts

Postby 73smile » Sun Apr 20, 2008 5:30 pm

I have not been here for awhile but I AM still here. I feel better but still tentative about changes taking place within me.

I was reading Gibran's Wisdom today and came to a short piece called "Faces" wherein he wrote:

I have seen a face with a thousand countenances, and a face that was but a single countenance as if held in a mould.

I have seen a face whose sheen I could look through to the ugliness beneath, and a face whose sheen I had to lift to see how beautiful it was.

I have seen an old face much lined with nothing, and a smooth face in which all things were graven.

I know faces, because I look through the fabric my own eye weaves, and behold the reality beneath.

Kahlil Gibran author of the Prophet

I shall think more about what Gibran wrote and see how closely it is to how I 'see' faces now. He was a profoundly spiritual man who shared his love and his wisdom with the world. It is, of course, up to each of us to either reject a lesson he was 'teaching' or to accept the reading and allow ourselves to think about what it means.

Elvis found great comfort in the Bible and in books like those written by persons such as Gibran both as he stood in the light and when he tried to find his way in his very darkest hours. Elvis was absolute in his belief that the One above was always watching, always listening and always loving---no matter what. I find comfort here with my ELC family because the love found here is unconditional love and I believe that is something that Elvis searched for: to be loved for himself as a person and not because of his fame. He struggled and I struggle, as do most all people who are humble and who also cling to hope and the faith that there is light, in even the darkest places and even when we are at our very lowest, we, as humans, are still loved.
Hope still survives and that I know for certain.

Spring has arrived in Michigan because the birds are back singing their songs and soon the pasture will be pink, white and green with blossoms covering the limbs of the assorted fruit trees planted there long ago. In a few weeks I will be able to put in the tall zinnia seeds and when they bloom they burst with patches of orange/pink/red/yellow and other hues when I look out the kitchen window.
Walter will be officially retired the 1st day of June and that is, I believe, a portion of the thing I am struggling with and it will mean adjustments for us both as we go from one category to another. I am thankful for the ability to read for pleasure and to learn, and that Walter shares a love of reading and that is going to help us as we see what retired means for us. In the early fall we plan to take a train trip that wil get us to Memphis in or around mid-October or early November.
Life will continue to have meaning as long as hope can be kept alive. This I have no doubt or hesitation about and it is love that creates hope in my heart. Always love. No matter the direction it is taking me it is in there and it may fully bloom when the zinnias do.
