Forty one years ago today Elvis and Priscilla were getting married- He said it was the fastest wedding he ever saw and yet it took "forever" the way he was feeling inside. He said it wasn't the wedding they planned to have (he planned to have anyway) and that the only thing that made it seem "special" was how beautiful she looked in that dress- "liked to died lookin' at her" was his comment. He said the whole thing was just like a "movie scripted scene" and he was disappointed that a "man of God" didn't marry them, didn't want to use the Bridal Suite or attended that reception and many there he didn't even know and his friends didn't all get to come "for various reasons" (some weren't even told apparently) and that he didn't feel married- he thought it would be different... but that later they went home, dressed up again and it felt better to him, he was happy about it after all and then when they were expecting the baby, it was all worth it. He was thrilled, excited and he said, "kinda scary too".
He said in 76 he "would always love her (Cilla) she is my wife, the mother of my baby; that's forever-" We remember, Elvis - always. wjh
