My heart has gone to your husband for his sensibility saying what he said about Elvis. It tells of him (your husband) so much. He is absolutely right. My regards and best wishes to him and my congratulations to you, MaryInTheMorning. :P :P

Thank you all so much for the kind words about my husband. :) He really is a great guy and he truly does see what we see in Elvis's beautiful spirit and soul. :D He even understands that I miss Elvis and why I miss him even though I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person. :) Here I go again crying while I type so please forgive any typos, but he (my husband) told me once that even though I never met Elvis in PERSON, I have however met him in SPIRIT and in HEART so the fact that I do miss Elvis is perfectly understandable to him. :) I am a very blessed lady to be married him. :D

I read a story once that I absolutely believe to be true as it is SO LIKE HIM...
A young boy went to an Elvis concert in his home city. He loved Elvis, but was very sad about his mother, who was seriously ill.

Before the show started he was going to the restroom, or something (don't remember) and felt like walking in another direction which took him behind a small concealed area. THERE ELVIS WAS STANDING! Elvis beckoned him over and began telling him something postive about his (the boy's mother) ...I can't remember what, as I read this story years ago. It was very comforting to the boy. Now, the boy DID NOT TELL ELVIS ABOUT HIS MOTHER...Elvis just beckoned to him and started sharing this with him!

expressed

Postby Rainbow Light » Tue Jun 03, 2008 10:52 am

That's exactly what I'm doing right now as I sit here reading and typing this. All I can think of to add is God bless this precious, loving sweet man and his beautiful soul that he so freely shared with so many. His love for others knew NO boundries, limitations or conditions. It makes my heart absolutely smile to know that just as he was able to help sweet little Denise feel better for a little while, he is still doing that now all these years later. My husband and I just got done watching "Speedway" earlier tonight and during the scene where Elvis is giving the gift of the station wagon to the little girl, my husband said"that may be "Elvis Presley" up on that screen playing a part but all of those sweet emotions and gentle ways are "Elvis" at heart. For my husband to say something like that, the on screen presence has to be really strong. How right he was as Elvis's genuine love for little children especially shines through so brightly on screen.

AMEN, dear Mari! What you have expressed here about our dear beautiful Elvis I share in heart and spirit, what a beautiful man! He always cared and loved his fellow man, showing care, love & compassion, bless him! :D

I Double The Amen Ladies, I always liked the scene in Follow That Dream when Elvis goes and picks up that Little Girl from the Swing and she is Smiling from Ear to Ear, he was such a Natural with Childern. Its a Real Shame that Elvis never had more Kids, because he was just a Natural Dad. FairyTale!

A big Amen to this too, Fairytale! What a shame circumstances hadn't blessed him with another child or however many he wished for! :)
