We can hold him, as he sang about, in 'our hearts' without having to send him back. We can feel the hurt, the love, the joy, the stumbles but all of us are on the path because we are constantly replenished with the water of life from the One above as He decides when our walk is through.
It would be so very difficult to send Elvis back but my heart could not feel love right, I do not think, if I were responsible for keeping Elvis away from the freedom of the circle of love he enjoys now as we all will, too, if we just believe enough..............

It really is a very beautiful, touching and emotional song and makes me cry buckets whenever I listen to it. The words are so very beautiful and fitting for our dear Elvis. Even though the lyrics of the song are "I hope God knows if He let you, I'd never send you back" my heart, as much as it would break in doing so, would have to send him back for I know in my soul that it is in Heaven with the One above and his family that he has finally found true happiness and peace. I hope it's ok to say that.
