|
|
Hello,
I am in awe of what I have read here. Wanda, your book has meant so much to me. I have re-read it so much that I have torn the bunding from it. God Bless you for protecting and loving Elvis so much. I had actually stumbled across this website and couldn't believe the beauty behind what I was reading. What a loving group of people here. I have been lurking here for quite a while now, but I had to get up the nerve to write what I feel.
I am from New England and it seems that people here were never great fans of Elvis'. People didn't dislike him, but I really never heard that much about him growing up. I was eighteen when he died, I had never listened to his music and just didn't know much about him. I mention that because I recently had a very profound dream where Elvis came to me in a dream. He told me that everything in my life would be alright if I loved God with all my heart, hurt no one and did my best to help people.
I have been sick for the past few years and have really had my ups and downs. I have been praying to God for healing. I was at a very low point and one night I woke out of a sound sleep because of all people Elvis came to me. I keep asking why me? I was never an Elvis fan, but from that point on I have felt a deep love for him and he has eased my physical and emotionl pain in ways I find hard to describe. From that point on I had to know all I could about this stranger who was now my friend.
I was disgusted with the things I found on line. It wasn't until I found this site that I felt I was finally reading the truth. I have shed many tears while reading here. I am a very old and sensitive soul and I have been profoundly affected. I need to thank Maia and Wanda from the bottom of my heart. You will never know what you have done for me by having this wonderful site. Elvis came to me in love and you share all your knowledge in love for Elvis and those of us who are now getting to know him. Words can't express my gratitude. I can feel the love eminating from the words written here. They almost leap from my computer screen and envelope me. I feel renewed again after I come here. I have never been to a site where people don't argue and one up each other. This is such a breath of fresh air, especially in this scary day and age. Maia, I will be forever grateful to you.
I don't know why Elvis came to me, but thank goodness he did. I believe that there is so much more to Elvis than even we may know. Something almost other worldly. I have felt so protective of him since he came to me and since I have found you here. Since I had the dream some very wonderful, but almost unexplainable things have happened. I don't want to say too much because I don't want the good people here to think I am weird. It's funny, all I have to do is come to this site or to see Elvis on Youtube and I feel better. It's almost like I am getting an Elvis hug just when I need it most. I just can't explain it. I just keep saying why me. I have drempt of other people before, but no one had affected me this way. What is this? I feel so lucky that he chose me to come to. Does thaat sound too hocus pokus?
Anyway, I finally wanted to say thank you to all who post here. I almost feel like I know you. I hope I haven't babbled on too much, but it's all so overwhelming. BTW, Wanda, when is your next book coming out? I am waiting with great anticipation for it. I had WRE shipped overnight to take on my trip to Hawaii last fall. I am going again this coming September and would love to take your new book with me.
Thank you again so very much.

WELCOME WELCOME Laura to our loving ELC family!! It is so good to have you hear with us!!! I am so glad that you found us and I, too, believe that it was no coincidence that you did. I feel in my heart that the Lord and one of his "very special angels" lovingly guided you here as they did for me a long time ago when I discovered the love and light of ELC!!! You are so right in saying that this site is unlike any other which is why I encourage you to please feel free to say whatever you feel comfortable with that is in your heart. Here no one will judge you, make fun of you or criticize you--rather you will be supported and uplifted by what I have found to be as some of the most loving, caring and understanding people around!! I thank you for what you have shared in your above first post and think it was very beautiful!! Not at all hocus pocus or weird, for I also have had some very special and wonderful experiences with Elvis--some concerning some very serious health isssues that I have been dealing with as well. I am so sorry to hear that you have been sick for the last few years, and please know that you will remain in my thoughts and prayers dear one. One of the things that has helped me with my health issues was reading our dear Wanda's book again and again. I am so glad that you enjoyed it so much(very easy to enjoy ) and that you are so looking forward to her next one!! Count me in as being excited for it to come out too!! Sorry to ramble on so much I just get so happy whenever someone else discovers how wonderful ELC is!! |

Hi Laura! Welcome to ELC - As Elvis might say, "What took you so long?"
I expect him to say that to me any day now- probably pacing the floor behind me wondering because it seems to be "taking a long time" to get this one done! But I want to include as much as possible because it's my last one and so, has to be done right. It will be hard back, with some beautiful drawings done by Zey one of our members who lives In Turkey and she does great sketches of him. There is a special flash presentation of her work on ELC that Maia did for her art. It's on the flash index I believe- but someone will read this I hope and put a link for it up as I can't seem to get those things to work half the time. My computer is as Maia says an "antique" and one of these days, I'll get a new tower and be able to do things- I hope I have the brains for it!
Your post was very good, endearing and honest- thank you for putting your thoughts and feelings into words that are so sincere and ring with hope and joy...as well as a bit of awe that HE would come to visit you- that's what he wanted to do, be of help to those who might not have any from another source at the time. He was doing that when here, and now he is free to go and do what he finds to be important - and Laura, you were important... and you found his Website...done for him out of love and compassion and the hope of helping other people...just like he'd be doing if he were here physically- only in this case he has "us all" to carry it out for him - but there's nothing like a special visit or a word from him- and that's "fer sure"!
I hope and pray you will be feeling well and have a happy heart and lightness of spirit more and more Laura. Glad you "spoke up"...please continue!
wjh
PS... I don't think I'll make it by September but who knows, maybe somehow you might have a "sneak preview" for your trip--- _________________ Wanda June Hill

Laura,
BE WELCOME ON BOARD! (This little one is upside down, to represent the way we try -here in ELC Forum- to change the "current" point of view, into the focussing of what is within, behind and beyond the appareance of things. )
YOUR WORDS HAVE TOUCHED ME, as they come from a sincere-loving heart.
ALL of us here, could be called "Weird", if we are seen under the point of view of a "poor" crystallized frame of references. We battle against it, trying to expand our AWARENESS, trying to go along with the evolutive wave that now, more than ever, makes itself so evident. Here we try to be aligned to LOVE as much as we can.
You belong to this Field of Love, because it's evident Elvis has invited you IN. _________________ Amanda Viola

Thanks to all of you for your kind welcome here. Thanks also for telling me I am not weird. I KNOW that with my Elvis dream SOMETHING happened to me. The only way I can describe it is that it is light a bolt of strength has come over me. I know that what I have been through health wise is nothing compared to what he went through. With his love of God he still remained a decent human being. I don't know if I could be that forgiving. Sure, he had his faults like all of us, but his beauty and kindness still shone through like a beacon. He had so many facets like a diamond. I am also a Capricorn and I see so much of me in his personality. I can now picture Wanda saying, Oh, another Capricorn, huh? He was a typical Capricorn through and through. We can seem rather crusty, but we are really old softies inside. Quite sensitive too. can see why he didn't sleep well because we Capricorns always have a big list in our heads of things that need to be taken care of and we won't rest until we feel sure that our list is in order. Oh, and we can be very long winded as you can tell by how much I write.
Oh, those MM guys, Grrr! Most of them are so full of beans. Thank goodness Wanda that you have come through for him. Now it seems that slowly other people are speaking up about who he really was. I wish I had known more about him when he was alive. I don't know why people from where I come from really didn't listen to him or see his movies. Well, New Englanders are a different breed. Maybe, it comes from that Pilgrim/puritanical background. I can picture New Englanders back in the 50's going to church after seeing him swivel like he did. Haha!
I am just so happy to be here with good people. I am also very grateful that Elvis chose to come to me. Maybe, one day I will figure out why. One thing I have noticed here is that quite a few people here have been physically ill when he comes to them. Could that be what it's all about? There are many ill people in the world, why does he come to certain ones? Does he come to the people that are open to the spiritual side of life? I am trying to understand it all, but it is very complicated to me. Some days I am not the brightest bulb in the bunch, so it takes longer for me to understand. I have an open mind and am willing to read and understand what Maia and others here know. If it comes from love it must be good.
I am hungry to read and learn. I try to find the places that still shed a possitive light in spite of this crazy, mixed up world we live in. I refuse to give into the negativity that surrounds me daily. Some days I really have to fight it though. Those are the days that I know I need to come here and feel the possitivity again. I come here, I pray and I feel better. I always try to remember when I am at my lowest that I am very fortunate and there are so many people who feel a lot worse than I do.
Thanks again for your kind welcome and I look forward to contributing in what ever way I can. _________________ Walk gently, speak softly and let the radiance of your soul speak for you. |

Welcome, dear Laura!!!!!!!
Thank you so much for your posts, I am touched and I remember the time when I found this website of ELC two years ago and how happy and overwhelmed I felt!!! I think we are all connected in some way here, that's why we meet here and somehow Elvis gathers us together one by one by his LOVE in different ways . Each of us has his special "love relationship" with him and that's wonderful and so true and not weird at all! _________________ Christine-Sarena

Sarena and Rainbow Light,
Thank you for your kind welcome's. I am very glad to be here.
I just looked at Zey's artwork. I have never seen any artwork so perfect and believe me I have seen some beautiful works. How does she do that? I can't even draw a stick figure. Haha! Such a wonderful talent. Zey, do you do this professionally? I am in the company of some very talented people here. I love to write, but don't do it professionally yet. I'll have to get some tips from Maia and Wanda. They write so that you can feel the words they express. I am somewhere else when I read what they express.
I am not very technically literate either. I don't have any idea how to put a picture under my screen name, so for now I will just be Laura. I love all the lovely flash here. I have gone through sometimes just to see all the flash and then gone back and read.
I think Elvis would love to be alive now as far as all the technology available. I can see him with about ten cell phones and eight computers. He might even have a robot or two. I can also see Graceland all wired up to the nines with the smarthouse technology. He wouldn't need the MM devils. He'd have his robots for protection. I am being silly, but I really do think he would love this technology we have now. I just can't keep up with it all. I told my husband that if heaven forbid, something ever happened to him that I wouldn't know how to even turn on the TV. He had things all rigged up with this new gizmo and that new gizmo. Our house is like a tech lovers dream. Me, sometimes I wish things would just slow down.
Zey, thank you for your beautiful art. It is really a gift to all of us here to be able to see and feel it.
Have a great Fourth of July everyone!!

Hi Laura, I'm so glad you decided to become a member of our forum family! I think by what you have said thus far, you shall feel right at home here.
Reading about what you said about Elvis not being as popular in New England, or so your impression was of that, it got me thinking about politics and how Southern candidates generally do not do as well there, or so I have heard in the news; not that I'm any expert in analysis. But I do wonder since Elvis was from the South if that was a factor at all. I live on the West Coast so I'm merely speculating here and wondered your thoughts. Is there a prejudice in New England against Southerners? _________________ Laurie

Hi Bluemoon, I have never noticed any prejudice here, but that's not to say that there isn't any. Perhaps older generations were. I honestly don't know. I know that none of my family was ever predjudice against anyone. I tend to think it was the leg jiggling, long hair and sideburns that may have done it. As I said, there are strict roots here that go back to the Pilgrims, so to that generation Elvis may have been sacreligious. I remember my father calling the Beatles, long haired, hippie things.
I love all things southern. I feel that in a previous life I lived during the Civil War. For some reason I long to live in North Carolina and always have. I love southern charm and hospitality. I don't think I want to eat all that fried food, but I really would love to live there.
I don't know why exactly. What does the rest of the country think? Do they think Northerners are biggots? Don't be afraid to say what you think. I don't mind and would really like to know.
Thanks for your welcome.

[b] Hi Laure this is FairyTale, I'm a Southerner from Virginia and I haven't a Clue why that Some people from other parts of the country have their way of thinking about Southerners. To me we are all Americans, and I know thats how Elvis Felt. I live in the Shanendoah Valley which is surrounded by Mountians, and I have been called a HillBilly before. But I try and not let it bother me, I guess its like Elvis said Walk A Mile in My Shoes and treat your fellow man as you would like to be treated. Hi Laura!
You're welcome for the welcome and comments, my earlier post etc!
I'm very much in tune with what you post above and smiled when I read,
| Quote: | | I think Elvis would love to be alive now as far as all the technology available. I can see him with about ten cell phones and eight computers. He might even have a robot or two. |
Oh, at least that many!
Seriously now, yes I feel Elvis would have enjoyed today's technology and gadgets! Also, including his spirituality and being able to teach and learn about so many beliefs, faiths, ideas and pass on his knowledge and understanding to many others! I honestly feel, too, he'd participate in this forum with great interest and his own feedback, ideas?
with best wishes, Sue _________________ Seeks to encourage and inspire! |
