Elvis' FingerprintsFor Only $46,000

Postby Laura on Mon Aug 25, 2008 12:23 pm

Wanda, if you just happen to have a spare $46K hanging around, you can own Elvis' fingerprints. This seller on E-bay also has some other very expensive Elvis items for sale. I had lots of fun looking at all of them.

Yes, very interesting. Starla's thoughts were "how can they sell those things-" We used her computer to take a quick look.

My "old dog" computer is going to the geek on Tuesday- and Starla is going to San Francisco area for two days and nights- her lap top will go also. (I hope they decide to send someone else) I have a bunch of veggies and herbs that she brought home, they were samples from brokers selling stuff, so I am going to be standing at the sink preparing stuff, then standing at the stove blanching it for the freezer. Funny, I recall doing that every summer when I was a kid, and then when I got old enough I was helping do the major stuff and I thought when I left home, I never have to do that again! And here I am doing it, and we all love having it handy to fix any time. Full circle- huh- boy, I never would have beleived it 40 years ago! Time does change things-

Peace, love and good will,
wjh

Wanda my dear friend, I have to say that Starla and I are on the exact same wavelength because that was my first thought also" how on earth can they sell those things???" I'm so sorry to hear about all of the computer problems that you're having and hope that the geek can fix it so that you can finally put it all behind you. You kno wyou really said a mouthful with what you said here"Time does change things." AMEN and then some sweet angel! :P :)

I was wondering how these people got these things. First I see his cigar stub for sale(from Ginger) and then we go all the way to his fingerprints! What's next? I had better be careful with that question because the next thing I know they will be selling a half eaten apple he ate from or some such nonsense.

Well, I am off to Hawaii Thursday (Maui and Oahu) I wish I was going to Kauai so I could see Cocoa Palms where he stayed. I know it's shut down now, but it would still be fun to see where he stayed while there. I think they just recently tore down the house he stayed in while on Oahu, so can't see that either. Maybe, the Hilton Hawaiian Village will let us see what suite he stayed in. Probably not though.

I'll be lurking here while I am out there. I always have to check to see what's new, even when I am so busy. I'll be back to blabber here in a few weeks.

Be good and much peace while I am gone.

Laura, sounds like a great vacation!!!
I have never been to Hawaii so can only imagine what it's like. Do tell us all about your trip!

Yes I heard about Coco Palms being shut down. Wasn't it because of some tropical storm damage?
Thought I remember something along those lines. At any rate, it is a shame the place will not be renovated.

It behooves one to sense God as dwelling within each of us, rather than as some distant entity, far above and seemingly beyond our reach.

Every since I read about that Guy that was suppose to have that Cup of Water that Elvis was suppose to have Drank, I have never been interested in EBAY. Besides I well never understand how these people that have anything that Elvis had or gave to them would want to Sale them.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say i do not beleive these fingerprints are real.
reason 1 . these are suppose to be papers for his pistal permits. the feds keep these . how did they get them?
reason 2. these come from David Stanley .

thats enough for me.

Hello All,
Here I am in sunny Hawaii and I just can't stay away from here. No actually, I am so jet-lagged that I am taking a break from all the activity. Jet lag gets me everytime I come over for the first for days or so. I am from the Boston area, so there is a six hour time difference. We are now in Kapalua, Maui, which I know Elvis wold have loved. It's quiet and peaceful. At night the stars are so clear and there seem to be so many more. I told my husband how Elvis used to sit outside at night sometimes and look at the stars. I don't know, each time I look at them they remind me of him sitting out at night and looking at all the constellations. These islands are a miracle from God. I always say that either you GET it or you don't as far as the feelings of contentment and peace that wash over me while here. I know why Elvis loved it here so much. I have been here 19 times since 2000 and never tire of it.

Joe, that's very interesting about those fingerprints being fakes, especially if they were from David Stanley. I will just stop at that. I just couldn't sell anything I owned if it had previously been Elvis'. Even if I was hungry and starving I couldn't. I beleive that people have to be the caretakers of his possessions. They are like valuable museum pieces that must be cherished and loved. They were originally given to people because Elvis loved and cared for whomever he gave them to. I guess to each his own. I just couldn't ever do it.

Sweet ALOHA dear Laura and thank you so much for checking in here with us! :D It is so nice to hear from you while you are enjoying yourself in Hawaii and thank you for the absolutely beautiful way in which you've described the lovely island of Kapalua, Maui that you are on right now. :D :D I can see and feel the beauty of it in your incredibly beautiful description. :D Having never been there myself yet(although I hope to in the not too distant future  ) I especially appreciate what you've shared with us!! :D  I can also easily picture in my mind the relaxing way that our dear Elvis would sit out and look at God's beauty of the night sky twinking with stars while he was there. :D :D I hope you continue to have a wonderful and safe time while you are there Laura my sweet friend, and we'll look forward to your return here to ELC again and hearing more about your fabulous trip!! :D :D
