Hi, I tried to send a reply to your myspace ad. but couldn't figure out how to send it! Can't find any place to click for send and it just saved it in my file for later. Anyway, I am a dummy when it comes to these kind of tech things. I have a myspace too but only used it once and I don't know if it worked or not as I haven't been back there to see nor did any message come to me that said anyone responded- probably wasn't working anyway. I can't keep up. MY leg is nuts, the right one and it hurts any time I sit anywhere, even in a car unless I drive my truck and it's beginning to hurt a bit then also by the time I get back home. I don't go any where much anyway, and even less now days. And I don't care. I hate to go to the g rocery store- things cost so much and then one doesn't get home with much either. I just have to not over do anything especially walking around here so I won't get so worn out. It doesn't take much to do that, and when I do over do it, then I am down for a while...I can't think well then either...it is maddening. I have to get over being angry at myself for being this way, there really was nothing anyone could do about it, it's an immune thing and I've always had a strong one of those. It's a blessing in some ways but can turn sour too, as most people like me discover. One of our neighbors has just been told she has this same condition, she was going craZy and thought she was dying or something do to all the symptoms hitting at once- she is 48- and she's as bad off as me now, so I am lucky- I stove it off a long time... Well, anyway, keep in touch, and maybe I won't answer every day but I will try to get on here every day or so when I can sit long enough. It's like some one is pinching the Achillies tenden down my leg from the hip to the foot with a pair of pliers off and on- over and over. Maddening really. At least the hammering on my bone s is gone! That's something to be happy about. I may turn into a drug addict though... but since I hate to take pills that will help some. The kittens are in their new room and after being wild at first, they have settled in and love it. It's not totally done, but they have their old toys and a few new things like a big stump to climb on and some big tubes to play in and a snail chair that is bamboo and is their bed for now- it's full of the fake fur things they had for a bed in the old shed. And they have the sheet they birthed in that still has the scents of "home" though it's been washed etc:. They love it-and the rug that was the first thing they walked/crawled on as tiny kittens. And there are 3 windows opened with tough screening they can't break out through on them so they can socialize with the 3 outside cats -grand pa and mom Spyder and uncle Batman. Even the other strays who were coming here for food have gone missing- it has to be horned owls as they hunt in the dark of the moon and cats can't see the shadows or hear their wings when they dive- and it's fast. Cayotes could get them but usually that's noisy and there is no sounds when ours go missing. So I think it was owls as they have young during these months and need food and liquid for them. They don't drink water much and rely on their kills for liquids. Anyway, there are 5 missing in less than 6 weeks... too high a numb er for cayotes and these cats are wise, they wouldn't be taken that way. We even lost Bandit and Oscar, with Oscar being Jezebel's kitten before the ones she brought here. He looked like Pearl and I almost had him caught in the trap but he began to be stand offish when Budwieser got well after his hernia surgery and was back out side. I think Bud kept Oscar away so he wouldn't come up to the trap to eat. Jezebel was gone, so Oscar was looking after the little kittens from the wild cats in her place and so he got taken too. Then S pooky was hanging out with Bandit and must have gone into the field toward where he comes from and they both were taken. Batman looked over there for them for days, we had to keep calling him home and now he doesn't go there anymore- just like when Pearl went missing, he looked for her in the pasture area and now he doesn't go there at all. In fact the last 3 are hanging at home at night most of the time. I get up and give them warm canned milk at 2 am to make sure they have a reason to be home and they are here waiting. Now the other kittens of Spyders are up here in their room, she and Bud and Bat hang out on the chase lounge by the windows and so they have something to stay home for- to protect the babies who are as big as them. Her kittens are huge- 3 of them especially, the boys. Two girls are smaller and one is nearly as big as the boys. We have Dash in our house- she is so siamease like, and she is diffefrent than tghe others. I don't think she'd do well with them now, she's a house cat and spoiled. She talks all the time too and it's worse than having a two year old tearing up things etc: all the time. My house is full of paper scraps and her toys all over every morning and if we leave, boy she is messy for sure. She acts up like a dog might. I hope to have some pictures to post once I learn how to get the chips of the camera off into my printer so I can put them on. I may learn. who knows.
I may send them to you and you can post them maybe?? hint-hint-
bye,
wjh

Hi, he drank Pepsi and coke too, but preferred Pepsi. He didn't like the diet ones but he was diabetic so sugar was a big thing in his life- he didn't know until he was older, in fact I think he found out about the time he got married that he had to watch sugar etc: or he'd be on shots and he didn't want that but he had to have insulin at times in the later years...mainly because he was careless about what he ate, he said.
I think he probably drank coffee black because they didn't have money for sugar and etc... and probably didn't have coffee all the time either. He never out grew sleep walking, and always was worried he'd walk out a window or off a balcony and wanted someone to keep an eye on him when he was in one of those hyper active periods he'd have. I think that he was one of those people who had an over active brain with both sides working- and fighting for time etc:... I don't think he was bipolar but he had some of the same symptoms. He wheezed after he got older, and had colds alot and was always catching flu or something- he didn't have a strong immune system apparently- and too, he smoked every time he recorded because everyone smoked in the room and he breathed it all in- so he might as well have been smoking too!!! He had some type of anemia and I can never spell it right- pernicious anemia that involved his liver function and affected the kidneys too...that caused him to have a tendency to have congested lungs and thus cough and wheeze at times... especially in the last 3 years...it got worse. Plus the enlarged heart would factor in that too. He knew he wasn't going to be here long, he said it so many times and even if he didn't have medical proof at those times, he just knew. Some people do, most don't.
Well, gotta go...been sitting too long and it's daylight so must get dressed and get to the horses.

Hi, I saved this address. And replied to your pm too. I have read several comments made by his lady friends who said he didn't snore -they were from his time in the 60s and early 70's. He began to wheeze and snore when he became ill according to Kathy who stayed with him in the last tour days because he didn't want to be alone. No sex then, just friendship and she loved him so she stayed with him and made sure he was okay during the times he was out cold etc:. He fell asleep talking to me a few times and he didn't snore- but he talked in his sleep, mumbling and almost crying at times. He felt bad then and was in pain and exhausted. Suzy said she never heard him snore either, but he talked in his sleep then too, and laughed a little bit. I heard him snickering and giggling while asleep one time too-via the phone. He mentioned a lady's name- "Ava" and I think it was one of the Gabor sisters who were very wealthy and when he first came to Hollywood Ava took him to the opera and he said he loved it. But he did have a time with Ava Gardner as well...sooooo. He got a bit flustered when I asked who Ava was and said it was a long time ago, she took him to the opera so I think the Gabor sister was his "Ava" in that dream time. Heaven only knows- there were so many women in his life...friends, lovers and hope to be's and one would be hard put to keep up with who is who and when and where!
Elvis sure didn't have to be lonely...or alone... and knew it very well. He just chose to be both when he felt like it.
The last time I saw him he drank his coffee black- but he only sipped it a time or two and then when it was cold he used it to cool a newly forming fever blister on his lower lip. He liked those Tommy's cheeseburgers- they had chili on them and it was foamy stuff. Gross! And he liked regular cheeseburgers too- with mustard, onions and "the works". I miss the kind of hamburgers we used to be able to buy in Oklalhoma and found again in Lou. when on the book tours. I can't eat them now but I loved cheese burgers and liked to heat and toast the bun in the skillet I cooked them in and with onion and dill pickles, AM cheese and my burger cooked really well done, almost crisp even. I miss that! And frys with ketchup. Makes me hungry to recall them! I would pay for it for days if I ate that now- me and grease just do not get along since losing my tail bone. From what Elvis said about the early days of his career, he lived on hamburgers and malts-it was easy and quick and they could always find someplace open late to get it. Sometimes they didn't have money for food only gasoline, so he'd look for a place to "beg" is how he put it and laughed. He could always charm someone into feeding him, I'm sure!
Bye,
wjh

Hi everyone! Wow, I talk too much!

I am trying my best to get through the last edit of F to F and it's going slower due to not being able to sit here long enough to do much. I am over half way with the changes I had to do, but have learned of a way to do them without having to change and omit so much. It's the time I need to correct what I've changed, the changes are so that BookSurge can't come back on me for using what they "own" now in the W,RE, 2006. And I'm sure they would! Anyway, I am working at it and it's coming along. I still plan to put it on line for free to those who want to read or download etc:. And I hope by having it there, people can read and judge him (and me) for them selves. My purpose has always been to let him "tell his own story" as much as I can via what we experienced, and nothing more or less. It is all that I can do for him, and he is worth the effort and was in all ways, forever.
But then we know that!
love to all,
wjh
I am feeling better, just can't sit for long. And even riding in or driving a car is a limited event.

Many thanks for posting all these, dear Rose-Lyn, and for letting us know how our dear Wanda is! :) :D :hello:

Great to hear from you too, Wanda! So glad you're feeling better some and that things are going ok with F to F though please continue to take the best care of yourself which is more important (as are you!) than a book and you have a big ole angel called Elvis watching down over you too, ya know?! Always in our love, prayers and thoughts!,

with love, Sue
