The people around Elvis tried to suppress his spiritual development. I've read in your books how your house was trashed and you were driven away. I am so grateful you were always there for him as a mentor, sometimes in the background, but you didn't leave permanently. Elvis certainly needed your support and guidance. I feel that your association with Elvis was destined to tide him over the bad times.
The Elvis story is so strange, like a pre-destined tragedy being enacted, in some ways outside space and time. It certainly seemed impossible for anyone to step in and halt what was happening. Do you think Elvis had to suffer in order to transcend the human condition and reach his destiny?
