Thank you for the photos, most of them I had never seen before.
In the close-up photo if I look at his eyes, I see he is ill. His gaze seems to be withdrawn. If I watch these pictures I get the feeling that a part of Elvis knew that the body would not last much longer....sad but true :cry:

.. and somehow dreamlike.
Just compare to the pictures of Hawaii vacation 1967 (or 68?) What a difference in ENERGY that he radiates.

I can see Elvis was real happy there and I thank God that he had at least that last vacation.

He's looks fine in those photos. But I think Christine is right. His amazing energy seems to have disapeared.

He's not as healthy looking in these pictures as 10 years prior, but he doesn't look bad either. And he certainly is NOT obese. I'm so tired of his critics commenting otherwise.

those pix give me mixed feeling..yes it's obviously in his eyes that he is sick,but at the same time there's a feeling that he is just out of a big and long war ,terribly tired but relieved somehow,not tense as he was before, like he is free from some certain things..can't describe exactly..maybe it's because he was so near to the eternal piece.. :cry:

Of course too there is the element of leaving so many that he loved and cared for including us, his fans and friends such as Wanda, behind. And no doubt that was so hard and upsetting for him too as everyone else

Can understand where you are coming from, ladies but Elvis, due to his faith and beliefs knew where he would be going and that for him it would be eternal peace and rest, to be with his beloved Mama, other family members. It is a good thing and we might feel happy and comforted for him?, knowing that one day, he will be there to meet us.
