I am writing this in my recliner using my laptop so that I am more comfortable. Unfortunately I can't sign onto forums with the laptop. So I will send it over to my big computer (we are networked here, thanks to Simeon) and then I can cut and paste it into the post.
I really, really wanted to share this with all of you.
Considering my current state of affairs at 70 lbs I thought it might be a good idea if I brushed up on the Afterlife 101. So I checked out of the library some books on the topic by Sylvia Browne, a renouned psychic and channel of many years. I had seen her on TV, but only with 5 min shots at reading someone over the phone, so I wasn't too impressed...but then who WOULD impress you in such a read-and-run manner.
Yet when I read her life story and some of the things she said about the "Other Side" I began to see the beautuiful soul that Sylvia truly is and I do beleive she is the genuine article.
What really blew me away was her discription of the Hall of Records on the Other Side (the earth astral world where most earth souls go first after passing the veil). She described it in detail and it was EXACTLY like the Hall of Records Thoth had shown me when I was taking people through "Akashic Re-ording." Down to the last minute detail!
But where I am going with all this is to Elvis...
She wrote a bit about her contact with him in 1977, right after he passed. She said that before he died all she knew about him was that he was famous, good-looking and had a beautiful voice. She said she was too busy raising to kids to give him any thought other than that, and really knew next to nothing about him personally. She stated that when she heard on the radio that he had died, she was surprized at the depth of emotion she felt...the sadness. A little later she was inundated with requests to contact him (only a few days later, I believe). So she did and said that she was amazed at how clear he came across, meaning (to her) that he transitioned very easefully and with great faith and sureness at his destination. She said that he had some messages for his father and for someone named "Charlie" (she had no knowledge of Charlie Hodge). She contacted Vernon and found out through him that there was a Charlie, and delivered Elvis' messages to them. She states in her book that they comfirmed the validity of these messages.
One she mentions in the book was directed toward Vernon and it was a single name: "Ruta May."
As to Elvis' death:
"He was in very, very small room when he died and was immediately conscious of the fact that he had passed over. He'd had a headache that day, didn't feel well and his back hurt, and he went into this small room with a book. He died very quickly in that room, without struggling or suffering. He'd had problems with his lower intestine for the previous two and a half years...he was on medication and steriods, but his death was unintentional and accidental."
Well, he had problems with his colon longer than 2 1/2 years and she doesn't mention any other severe illnesses, but as she points out herself, she is not infalliable and she can miss stuff and mis-interpret at times. I think all and all, for someone who didn't know anything personal about him that is pretty good.
As for his passage, Sylvia writes:
"It was a quick, easy trip home for him, sped along by a faith in God that was always alive and well at the core of his soul."
One thing she said that I have difficulty in believing and that is that "Heartbreak Hotel" was his favorite song???
On the Other Side: "His life is blissful, filled with music, his voice even richer and more heavenly than we can imagine..."
She also that that he plans to be born a singer again in 2004 (this book was written in 2003) and will be a singer again.
Even if he IS incarnated again, his higher being can still commune with us...anyone's can. You don't have to be on the Other Side for that!
The name of this book is "Visits from the Afterlife" by Sylvia Browne. You should be able to find it in your library as she is a best-selling author. You'll find the section on Elvis in Chapter Six.
