Elvis and Lisa

Postby Wanda June Hill » Wed Aug 23, 2006 12:18 pm

Elvis adored his little girl, worshipped her is a good word to describe his attitude about her. She was as he said, "worth more than any of this, nothing I've got is worth more to me than my daughter, she is my life." And he meant it-I think they had a good relationship and that he was able to be to her level all along as she grew up and I think he taught her many good things-she wanted to be with him she says today, she would have rather been with him all the time and always cried and so did he when she had to leave or he had to go. I am so glad he was taking her with him a few times at the end, and he loved it when she was in the audience. He said she knew all his songs and could do the moves when she was little and he'd laugh so happily. They had a good time together. And you can bet he is there for her now-she may not realize it and again she may-we don't know as she keeps those things very personal and in her own heart where she should...She loves him deeply and the first time she was on tv for her records or to talk publicly, she wore his big turquoise ring and kept running her finger over it to keep calm. When the interviewer commented on it she said it was a "fake one" rather than share even that with anyone outside her family. I like her for all of that-she's a good young lady and very much like her daddy. It tickles me so to see her and read what she says and watch her talking about things-so much of him is there and it's wonderful. It hurts too, but it's so nice to have him so there in his precious little girl's persona. She's got his giving nature, forgiving spirit and even some of his "wild streaK" but that's okay, too. I hope she will have the best of everything and be happy and fulfilled in her life. And I think she is very aware that her father is standing beside her when she needs him. wjh

Thanks as ever, Wanda for your great and insightful reply in regards to Elvis and Lisa! Certainly all the pictures I've ever seen of them together are so sweet and tender and can tell he adores his little girl! Know she must have her personal and wonderful memories and wish her the best in everything she ever will do not to mention, as you say, inherited so much from Elvis! :D

Thanks, 'Guest', great to hear from you and thank you on behalf of us all for your kind words and comments! If not already registered? Welcome to ELC and hope you will enjoy your time spent here at the Forums! :D
