Hello, Ms. Hill, I have a question for you.

What is the difference of velocity for an unladen sparrow, African and European?

What do you personally believe about the spirituality Elvis discussed with you? Do you believe you will see him again? In spirit? In flesh? Do you actively pursue this kind of thing? How do you correlate inner realities with outer skepticism and the growing novelty of celebrity worship?

Another question. I hope this doesn't hit too close to home for you.

How do you cope with a personal friend knowing you have a soul connection and the growing iconship of a revered celebrity? How do you first differentiate between your friend and the legend and second correlate the two?

And something I can't describe... Maybe I'll put it poetically for you.

Do you dream of inheriting the night sky?
Do you hold your heart open to the moon in light?
Does a soft voice of ages
that spoke with the sages
carry you through and tell you it's true?

Does the doubt of the flesh leave you muffled?
When words would suffice, do you dare?
Shall you forget your qualm,
bathe in heavenly balm,
let go of your need for power and greed?

Why should it smart to believe?
Did you fail or God simply leave?
If there were no God
and we mindlessly plod,
then why does the soul beg to be whole?

Is there some place in some sky?
Not needing conversion or that we all die?
For on this blue sphere
it seems rampant I fear
the races of man be as godless as they can.

Is there no place for belief?
Then what is the Blue Sun to me?

I believe Elvis was sincere; his time was limited, but he searched for answers to questions only he knew. I believe there is a higher power, and we all are connected to that power. I once was actively pursuing; I am near the latter part of my time on Earth and having been "dead" once during a medical procedure-I do not question death...because I "saw and remember"- it is not frightening to me. As for correlating inner realities and outer skepticism, the majority of people will have an "experience" before their time here is up-and it will be life changing. The novelty of celebrity worship is a natural part of life's ever circling pattern-what is old, is again new, and what is new, will be old...so on and so on...the old pass on, the new start over-and think they have "invented" it all...but awaken in their spring and summer...

My relationship with a celebrity was not sought, it happened. My life changed, different directions yet much the same. "Old" friends shared; new ones are not aware-there is no need. Should they learn-have interest and not motive-they too may share. In time, soon, no doubt, for my years are "old"-I will see my dear friend again-in spirit and in flesh for as another more ancient soul has proclaimed, we shall all be together again. And I choose to believe the soft, sweet voice of That Sage-for He is Lord, of all, including those who do not choose-My dear celebrity friend and all those gone ahead, will one day meet again, though we all may be- once dead. As for my "greed"-I have none now, nor did I then-I am a "sower" and just spread the "seed" so other's harvest as they need. So stand before the moon, look upon the stars-they are but lanterns in the midnight blue, a gift of light, in the dark of night so all who search-may find the way. Thank you, Wanda

Having reversed a bit through the posts I wanted to re-instate this issue - while I have never had a 'near death experience' to share or speak of - the faith that I was brought up with as a child (my paternal grandmother and several other ancestors were Methodist ministers) and still have gives me the confidence to say that we need have no fear of death, friends.

There is a better and more beautiful place that we will pass onto and, using the words of one of Elvis' gospel songs, we can believe that one day we will meet our loved ones, including Elvis, on that 'beautiful shore'.
Know and believe in it personally as 'Heaven' but everyone has the right to call it as they choose, whichever faith and belief system they are raised under or brought into.

Do believe also that whatever religions or even Christian denominational churches we are involved in now; when we get up to Paradise, any and all labels will fall off and we will come into God's Presence as One, His Children and we will be therefore all be THAT much MORE aware of HIS all-compassing Love and Mercy at that time - OH HAPPY DAY!

Hey, folks, don't worry though, I ain't gonna jump up and start preaching any time soon! Think it could be a bit in my blood/ancestry though?!

Wanda, think it has to be said that the majority, if not all on this Forum now, know for sure that you never were 'greedy' over your friendship with Elvis, that you never have exploited his name for any reason or betrayed his trust or confidence and that's true to this day - but at the same time we are aware of many more that were around him that have done any or all of the above - no names mentioned but we know WHO they are!

Thanks for that input! I come from a long line of people who tend to be paranoid about somethings and it probably does show up now and a gain. I believe as you do-and I'm looking forward to that day too. Not that I have a lot of relatives there waiting for me, because there aren't that many that I knew- but there will be some I'm sure. And of course, I'm going to "hunt Elvis down..." if possible. He did say he'd be there if he could, for everyone who cared....thats a tall order even for an "angel" and probably only God or Jesus has that ability to encompass the world all at once-huh? Not to take any thing lightly that you said or that of others, I mean than in the best way... imagine being able to have an audience of the world...all at one time-. Elvis was humbled by the sattilite show-imagine what the coming of the Lord to earth would be like! There would have to be that bright light that is brighter than anything seen on earth! Like putting several suns into strobe lighting-only many times over! anyway, thanks Sue! Boy, there are alot of posts to read through! wjh

Uh-huh, sure are! I still see things that I thought I have read and then I look further down and find new postings I hadn't seen before!

Sure, I knew what you meant and admit I am prone to getting a bit carried away at times!! Think we can only have an idea as far as our thoughts and imaginations can know, the Infinite Love, Light, Power etc of God, much is beyond our limitations of knowing how He truly is but then that, of course is how it should and must be - the Lord being 'Somebody Bigger Than You or I' and all!

my grandad died about 1980 or so, but before he died i was visitting him a while before he passed over, and i told him i loved elvis he just chuckled and said so do i lol.
then he said tell you what julie when i go i will visit you and bring elvis with me to see you.
well we heard he had died but the exact moment we were watching his fave programme on tv, there was a loud bang behind a unit, on the wall where no body could get it was tight to the wall.
that night i went to sleep worrying if grandad would visit me, i was a little nervous, not quite so much now but then i was afraid.
as i was starting to wake up next morning , i felt the bed sort of depress in by my feet, i was so nervous i darent look, wish i had i suppose i might have seen him and grandad too lol.
i wonder if he met elvis atall, i once was worrying about my sister one night while trying to sleep, and i was not quite asleep but very drowsy but i was worrying like mad, and i saw in my drowsy state eyes half shut 2 bright white lights , sort of using the folds of the curtain, quite long from top to bottom but two seperate ones, and instantly i stopped worrying and went of to sleep, felt it was two people in spirit sent to ease my mind, it worked, wish i had seen while fully awake, why is it you never seem to do that, i wish we could see things in the day.
dont know who they were ?, never saw my grandad much while he was alive, he wasnt a lovey dovey sort of person, but the above conversation was very special, if im asked am i afraid of death maybe i am a bit but probabley shouldnt be . after all 1 of my nans was a spiritualist medium , but she kind of frightened me at times, but i like to read things myself these days, and im enjoying the lighted candle site, julie

Hi Julie,
Most people have unusual experiences-often they are just confused or scared or don't remember it except as a weird dream. It used to bother me a lot because our church was so against such things at all-but the Bible does mention "these certain gifts" everyone is given at birth and what we do with them is the difference in "good and evil" as some people use their gifts for evil intent and others not at all and then there are people like Maia who uses her's for the good of all. There are fewer of those than there are of the ones who try other things with their gifts...like those who take advantage of innocent people. But we all have gifts-sometimes it takes a long time to under stand them-other times it comes so easy-but I've found that most people by the time they are grown up with all that comes with that, have lost touch with their spiritual selves and then they almost have to be like children again and start new...
Dreams are often the start-and since you had relatives with special connections and beliefs...you probably picked up more than you realize from childhood-so it's natural for you to have dreams and feel things. It's a good thing if you desire it to be-don't worry, if you feel you don't want to know these things, they know this and won't come in ways that will cause you distress-
the best way is just relax and take it all calmly and with a joyful attitude. Thanks for sharing your dreams and feelings Julie, we all belong in the same group-just maybe some are more open but we accept "even that which we do not understand" because it's all a good thing. wjh
