Absolutely beautiful and my heart is in complete accord with what you said dear FairyTale about how this would've been such a perfect song for our precious Elvis to record and sing!! :D  I think he would've just loved it! :) In my ears I was hearing Nat and Mahalia singing this song, but in my mind and in my heart, I was hearing our sweet Elvis' beautiful voice gently and lovingly singing these very touching lyrics.  :D Many thanks Sue my sweet angel for posting the link to this wonderful song for us! :D

Most definitely count me in as another who loves the song "Ave Maria" and who absolutely would've loved Elvis to record/sing this entire song!! :D :D In reading what you dear ladies said, it made me want to do some checking and I was able to find at least 1 line of it that Elvis started to sing immediately after "I Got A Woman" in much the same fashion that he did the "Amen" chorus after J.D. and The Stamps joined his show. :) When he does attempt it though, it seems to me that he wasn't too comfortable with the way the audience responded to it so he immediately stopped and finished up I.G.A.W. :? :?: This is just the way it seems to me and I'd love to hear what you think my dear angels when you listen it. :) If what I feel is the case, then it really saddens me because even in just that one line, you can feel his beautiful spiritual heart in it and like he really did want to sing more of it than what he did. :( In any case, the part in question starts at the 4:49 mark if you only want to listen to this one part of the clip since it is a 10:21 clip. :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNrJxVJPff4 :) :P

You and all of my ELC angels are very welcome for the link I posted Sue my dear friend.  :D When I'm doing things for people I love and care about, I don't really think of it as time or effort.... "really"(as our dear Elvis used to say  :P :D ). I just enjoy doing whatever I can to help whenever I can. :D  I so appreciate you giving your opinion of the line of '"Ave Maria" that Elvis sung after you listened to it my sweet friend! :D I agree that even though it seems like he didn't get the reaction he was probably so hoping for when he started singing it, BRAVO to our guy for making the choice and attempt to do so!!! :D :D Image
