Because I love Elvis,
Because I still cry when I think about him

I made it myself

JUST BEAUTIFUL NADINE! Really touching. Who is the singer?

Also, those photos of Lisa from the "Elvis by the Presley's" - could you possibly post them here so that I can have some copies? I can take proper ones off the TV - I don't know why, but funny LINES go through it!

Beautifully put together Nadine. Really enjoyed watching it. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Wow, Nadine. Fabulous job. The one picture that got my attention the most was the one of Elvis in the sundial suit he usually wore in 1977 and how slim and gorgeous he looks in it. I would love to see the photos that someone took (can't think of her name) of Elvis in concerts in 1977 and compare the day to day pictures of where he looks great one day and bloated the next. Incredible.

And I still cry, too, especially this time of year. I hate to admit it, but I kind of...quit watching and listening to Elvis about 1988 or so because I would get so depressed and sad, I couldn't deal with it. I really didn't pick it up again until around 2002. I guess that year Elvis was everywhere and I realized how much and why I had always adored him. Now it's a daily thing. Another weird thing in 2002 -- I was heading to Huntsville for my 25th high school reunion in August. Later that month, I was returning to the University of Alabama for a second degree. So driving up to Huntsville, listening to Elvis on the CD player, going back to high school (in a way) while preparing to go to Bama was like stepping back in time 25 years. It was August 1977 all over again. Does that make sense? I'm not sure I explained it very well. I'll be sad on August 16 all over again and cry like a baby, as I'm about to do right now, then I'll suck it up, dry my tears, and smile for another year because I'm so glad he was here for as long as he was. Lord, I miss him.

I think the person you are referring to is Sandi Miller, and the Behind the Image books which contain her photos can be gotten through Bud Glass' web site @ www.behind-the-image.com

WandaMC,

I believe a lot of us share this same feeling. Only I just "have" to see him every day.

His life was way too short, but I thank God for every joyful moment he had, for every success, for every triomf (and he did have them), for every moment of personal happiness he had, for his Lisa Marie, etc...

I know he is allright now, and he is back with his dad and his mother and a lot of friends and family.

He will never be forgotten, and we the fans keep the light eternally burning for him.

Love him, listen to his music, watch him on pics and video etc

He left it for us to remember, to enjoy and to think of him.

I often cry also, because he is gone, because he had such a short life and especially those last sad years but that is the way it had to be. We cannot change it anymore.

16th of August is a black day, but perhaps here we can share our pain and comfort each other.

I was sad visiting Graceland. Everybody was having a good time and I cried a lot. Sitting next to his grave and see all the mourning, the sadness, the heads bowed to pray , it made me so sad.

I prefer thincking of him in happier days, I do not wish to see his gravesite again. Once was enough.

Perhaps strange, no??

So many fans want to go back more then once in their life, I don't.

For Maia:

The singer is Dutch and is called Ilse Delanghe.

I've been told she wrote it especially as an elvistribute but I'm not sure.

Which pics do you like me to post from that clip ???

For me, it is the ones of Lisa from the "Presleys" DVD - she has her hair pulled back.

Thanks! :)

Don't know how to say this, but I'll try:

Don't be sad, please. Time is only a perception. WE ARE. WE ALL ARE, WE ALL ARE BEING. WE ARE A FIELD OF BEINGS, no matter Time. And it is true. It is not a metaphore. It depends only on what level of Reality we chose. We are free to chose, really.

Let's think about Elvis with Love, pride and gratitude. Let's salute El'vis Aaron with Love and gratitude, too. We share realities with both, both equally beautiful and splendids. We can chose to feel togetherness and not the separation. LOVE works that way for us if only we dare chose it.

Augost 16 may be a happy day if we remember that this was the day Elvis finished successfully his work on Earth, in our time, the same we'll do when we'd die. I feel strongly that this is a good new!

Lisa, daddy's precious little one...

Postby Wanda June Hill » Tue Aug 08, 2006 10:54 pm

He certainly did put his mark on that child! And I'll just bet inside as well. Thanks for posting these, they are beautiful and it always makes me happy to see him living on through his little cutie one, with the pink shell fingernails and pretty lips and eyebrows. Even he said, they were even-he had a thing about that I guess because he thought his own face was not perfect and had been told it was 'uneven' when he first came to Hollywood-a photographer told him that and it struck a chord in his image of himself forever-even went on to his choice of the female face and then to his little girl...he was so pleased she had "even" features. wjh
