I just read this thread for the first time. I just wanted to say I thought Elvis had a nice balance going in that conversation. He WAS exasperating Charlie and playing on the fact that HE is the boss (which, to get his private time, he may have needed to make clear); but there was affection in all the jokes. Like he gets Charlie yelling and then acts like he can't hear him.

Waxing philosophic here :D I think there's always love in humor.

Whoops, I think I should've said more....:D I agree with you, Mari, I think Elvis used humor and teasing to show his love and to draw people together. When a whole crowd laughs they become "one" and the common ideas and perspective they share becomes evident....it's a uniting force. I'm so fearful of droning on here and making this a boring discussion  I think that's why I initially just left it alone. One of those beautiful little mysteries, the love and humor connection.

Thanks for the conversation!

Love,
Trish

You are so right on the money with your beautiful thoughts here dear Trish!!! :D :D It indeed is a uniting force, and the love and humor connection act as a collective entity thereby creating a LIGHTFUL SOUL!!! :D :D :D My dear friend, please never ever be afraid of speaking your true heart or think that you're droning on---especially in a love-filled place such as what we have all created here. :D :D You have such a beautiful heart and always spread such joy whenever we talk. :D I always enjoy all of the conversations we have here so no worries dear angel, and my thanks to you too!!! :D :D
