Thanks so much for posting that Liliane! It was wonderful to hear him "just talking" again... And things said again that he said to me as well about his
"roots" etc... singing as a child in church...etc...loved hearing him speaking so
naturally and not just "on stage talk". And to see him wearing the scarf...the
gold one that he had worn representing the study that he was involved in-
learning to be able to help other people spiritually.....the scarves represented
"steps" that he was taking in those studies, as he progressed the colors would
change representing the steps he was taking in those spiritual lessons. He
gave that up in late 73-74 because he wasn't "pure enough in body and spirit
and didn't feel worthy"...and too, his family wasn't very favorable about it at
the time either. I so enjoyed listening to his voice, watching him...his humor
and how quick he could be. Great little video. Everyone, jump back to the
post before mine and give it a look/listen- you'll enjoy it very much.
Have a great week,
wjh

After I put it in the forum, I had a idea to had more you tube interview in the future.

Just a funny thing happen after I login, you had rose web page and after a few minutes all your page turn in blue color. It's happen a few times before. It's very strange to me.

I don't know what would cause that-our site just got moved by the host Free-Forums and it is now up and running properly after a few days of
not being available and then having the posting and reading posts working!
It's fine now! So everyone- enjoy!

PLEASE GO BACK A COUPLE OF POSTS AND TAKE SOME TIME TO VIEW THE YOUTUBE LINK TO A BACK STAGE ELVIS VIDEO POSTED THERE! IT FEATURES ELVIS "JUST TALKING" ABOUT HIS GOSPEL ROOTS AND IT'S GREAT.
I LOVE TO HEAR HIM BEING "HIMSELF" AND WHEN HIS SENSE OF HUMOR SHOWS.

Thanks, I had seen some of both, but never that much of them...I just remember
what he said about having taken a muscle relaxer before the interview, and that
it was all he could do to keep from sliding onto the floor and try to understand the guy who he said "had some kinda accent or other". He had thought he had time
to lie down and rest before the taping, but they came in and got him up to hurry
down and do it. Actually he did a pretty good job and was very "normal" acting
and talking. People just were used to hearing him talking on stage...being Elvis the image/on stage showman
was a tad different than being "just Elvis" off stage...with the main difference
he kept control of his "wicked sense of humor" when he was being interviewed.
I really enjoyed the off stage guy, he was such a mixture of things-
Thanks,
Check out the Humorous topic...posted a little section of conversation that I
had planned to use in the straight talk combined set. Found it in the mock up
pages laid out for xeroxing...that never got done, and won't.

:hello: Awesome Videos Thank You Liliane for Sharing them, I have Both Interviews on DVDS but not as Long either. But I never Noticed in the First one that Elvis had Tears in his Eyes, from being so Over Whelmed about being seen by People All over the World. Another thing I always Notice is how Hard Elvis Breaths, from being so Nervous

Video of Elvis singing for Lisa Marie
http://www.youtube.com/user/sourceofmusic1/videos?query=Jon+Burrows

This is a link to a site that features "Jon Burrows" whom we all will recall that
was an alias he used when traveling etc. I have listened to this several times,
I believe that this IS Elvis singing on this song- some of the others are not him
and perhaps maybe one or two could be a good likeness of his style/voice but
I cannot say it is his voice. I do know that he used to go to a small studio in
Memphis and he'd go late so he could mingle and sing/play with "regular people"
and too, he was looking for song writers, some times someone there did have
their own songs. He was under the impression it was hard to get good songs and
thought no one was writing any...however we know that was not so and we know why- another story.
Anyway, I like the Lisa Marie song, especially that I know approximately the time frame, and he was afraid he would lose his Lisa Marie due to the divorce etc....
of course that didn't happen.
Enjoy, and feel free to comment if you wish, about who is singing some of these songs. Keep in mind that they are studio cuts, and the music on these is not part of his vocal track- and Elvis often sang his part without music-especially after he began to
"modernize" and sing while listening to pre recorded music via headsets. (He hated that-he liked his musicians to be right there with him, so he could tell them when, what and where and even move instruments around... he had a
very good ear... ) I laughed at "Elvis is Back" rapping...I could imagine him doing something like that for laughs. He often made fun of serious things and being a badge carrying special agent was a dream fulfilled and for good cause at the time.

I like your post Wanda, I know Elvis didn't to record with the new technology even in the '70. He like it much in the '50 style of recording.

And when he made so many movies, all the music was made in track and to recorded later in the week. They called it "overbud".

I don't know if you see this press conference February 1970, Houston, Texas.
