Jewel,

The trouble is that poll accepts only one answer...

I agree with Amanda. Of the names you listed Regina-Jewel, I would want to pick two: Charlie Hodge & Jerry Schilling.

I VOTED FOR JERRY, BUT CHARLIE SHOULD BE SELECTED AS WELL. I chose Jerry over Charlie, simply because I think Charile, while loving elvis tremendously, didn't understand him on a deeper level as well as Jerry.

I think so too Maia...Jerry told it as it is he didnt sugar coat anything and the other MM would tell him "why did you say that to him he was in a good mood!!" Personally I'd like my friends to tell me anything to my face I might get angry but in the long run I'd understand.. Jerry also didnt do well just living off Elvis he went out there and studied at UCLA as I recall he had to do something with his life beside being Elvis' friend and now he has got the benefit over all the other MM guys. He deserves it truely :)

Yes, but I give great merit to Charlie, for his total DEVOTION. I believe he forgot himself to a great, great extent, ir order to attend Elvis. I can't imagine how difficult time he had to have after Elvis death, re-gaining the sense of being someone by himself.

I agree with you COMPLETELY Amanda Viola with what you said here and I too cast my vote for Charlie. He did devote himself completely to Elvis and must have been so terribly lost once Elvis was gone. I do also agree with what has been said about Jerry being such a wonderful and true friend to him too. :D TRUE friendship is such a wonderful thing and should never be wasted or taken for granted which is why I believe that they were 2 of his truest friends amongst "the guys".

Yes, Charlie loved Elvis DEEPLY. I remember my conversation with him when he called me once (about a past life reading for him I gave him).
