A : Only that of all the people I've ever worked with in my entire life, and I've been a director for 47 years, Elvis was the nicest man I've ever worked with.
William A. Graham, "Change of Habit" Director

Of course, she was not the only one in that movie to appreciate some special quality in Elvis. :)

I still say Sister Michelle (Mary Tyler Moore) should have thrown off her habit, jumped into Dr. Carpenter's (Elvis) arms, and the two of them gotten married. She could have loved Dr. Carpenter & the Lord both!! But I think I remember Wanda saying Elvis didn't want to be the reason for a nun to shed her habit, even if it was just a movie.

Anyone have any Change of Habit photos to post? Elvis looked really good in that movie.

You're welcome!
I think that movie was ok, I know it didn't get great reviews, but it was a different role for Elvis...more serious...

Change of Habit is for sure one of my fave Elvis movies, a beautiful storyline with very real issues of the time but many of which also apply to modern times too, don't you think?

Anyhow, bringing this thread back round to the front for anyone who may not have had the opportunity to check out the first time posted! :)

It's one of my fave ones too dear Sue and I also agree with what you said about the storyline of this film being very appicable in modern times as well. :D I am especially touched with how lovingly Elvis' character related to the little girl who has autism. :D I've spoken with different actors before about how they bring their characters to life that they portray and they've all pretty much said the same thing---you can rehearse, memorize and pretend to be this other person but in the end it all comes down to HEART. :D I feel that even though Elvis was acting the part of Dr. John Carpenter in this film, it was the HEART of Elvis Presley that shined through on that screen so beautifully--especially with the scenes with the little girl. :D :D Thanks so much for bringing this back around again my sweet friend. :D

I absolutely agree with you, Mari and Sue-Lenora. You can't express Love if Love is not awakened in your heart.

Besides, I love to hear how Elvis says to the little girl: -"I love you, Amanda, loooove you...!" 8) :P

Thank you so much my angels. :D You are very welcome for the picture. :D I just LOVE the smile on his face. :D Oh and Amanda, I so love hearing Elvis say that to the little girl too. :D :D I can FEEL his heart and genuine love coming from him even though he is "acting." :D
