We felt it here in Kaua'i the early morning hours of Nov. 16th. It mildly rattled things, nothing fell over. There were three "waves", the longest and strongest lasted about 3-4 minutes.

No tsunami is expected.

Extensive damage on the Big Island. No deaths reported yet.

Wish the best for the Islands and its people. I'll keep them in mind, sending there energy.

Earth is shaking very often lately. I feel like it's part of a process of great changes for us and the planet. (More than ever, I feel this is a time for holding on that part of our existence that stays quiet, meanwhile everything else moves: our inner Being.)

Glad to hear you are O.K. Maia & that none of your possessions were damaged. Big quakes can be unnerving.
I was in a major 6.8 quake once while in the bottom of a tall office building. Scary to say the least. Sounded like a train coming right through the building. It was weird too because I was in a modern buildling which was built on rollers, so the whole building moved with the rollers and nothing fell to the ground. My brother on the other hand worked at an older building, not as EQ proof, and lots of stuff, including PC's & filing cabinets toppled over.
