Jeremy Slate, co-writer and star of the cult biker film Hell's Angels '69 died yesterday of complications following cancer surgery. He was 80. The versatile actor was a guest star on nearly 100 TV shows from the early 1960s onwards and was most recently seen in the sitcom My Name is Earl. He also starred alongside Elvis Presley in Girls! Girls! Girls! Slate, often cast as a tough guy, featured in a string of biker films in the late 1960s, including The Born Losers and Hell's Angels '69, which he co-wrote.

Thanks Joe for posting that. Jeremy was a cute guy, I liked him in that movie with Elvis-they made quite a pair.
Have seen a couple of his other movies mentioned but I liked him in the color one with Elvis-they both had those blue eyes going at each other...He was a darn good actor and Elvis liked him. He mentioned sharing an interest in motorbikes but I can't recall the conversation now...just that they had that in common...and the girls went for him as much as for Elvis...that's what comes to mind about that movie. That and Stella Stevens and he didn't hit it off real well at first... I think she was just trying to be "cool" where he was concerned...and he was kinda of maybe too macho at times? wjh

Yes, he was forceful and special, and made a good pair along with Elvis.
